ABOUT AL BARSHA SOUTH 2
Al Barsha South 2 is a sub-district of Al Barsha South. It is located between Al Barsha South 1 and Al Barsha South 3 and houses the Dubai Science Park. Umm Suqeim Street is situated at the right end of the community while Hessa Street is towards the left. Both of these streets provide access to Al Khail Road (E44) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
The community features expansive villas, apartments and a few commercial properties too. From Al Barsha South 2, it takes around 10 to 15 minutes to reach Sheikh Zayed Road (E11). It also consists of My City Centre Al Barsha, a renowned mall in the city.

Al Barsha South 2 is primarily a residential community but houses a science hub as well, namely Dubai Science Park (DSP). Brighton College Dubai is an extension of the campus of Dwight School Dubai. Following the UK curriculum, it shares some facilities with the Dwight School and consists of classes from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 10. Soon enough, classes till Year 13 will be offered here as well.
Dubai Heights Academy is affiliated with British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). Classes here start from Foundation Stage and go up to Year 6 based on the National Curriculum of England. Preparations for adding a secondary section are currently underway.
Repton School Al Barsha is a boarding school that was previously known as Foremarke School. Following the National Curriculum of England, the school provides classes from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 8 and makes use of Apple products and gadgets for enhancing the critical thinking abilities of students. Its faculty is also proficient in using iPads and Macs, hence making it an Apple Distinguished School too as well.
Gems Founders School (GFS) is a part of the GEMS family of schools in the city. The school caters to students aged from 3 to 18 years old and has classes starting from Foundation Stage going up to Sixth Form. It is a good option for those interested in enrolling their children in the GEMS British curriculum schools in Dubai.

My City Centre Al Barsha is a mall in Al Barsha South 2 and one of the key highlights of the community. Covering up to 5,000 sq. m. of area, the mall was launched in 2016 and operates under the Majid Al Futtaim Group.
You will find an array of facilities in My City Centre Al Barsha, including a variety of retail outlets, health and beauty facilities, numerous restaurants and a Carrefour Hypermarket.
By driving 10 to 15 minutes towards the rest of Al Barsha, you can reach other malls near Al Barsha South 2 such as:

However, one point to consider is that most of the bus stops are not located within walking distance from the villas. This can be a hindrance for those preferring to travel by public transport in Dubai.
