Year 1 students progress from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1. The assessment after Foundation Stage provides a certain benchmark of children’s attainment. Year 2 students can benefit from assessments made in Year 1. Teachers can address areas where special support is needed. Also, helping children in their progress keeps them motivated to learn.

Year 4 to Year 6 students spend plenty of time in sports, music, art, design and technology and drama other than academics. This complements their academic learning as well. Students in Year 7 and Year 8 are trained to become lifelong learners; the learning methods involve both traditional and innovative methods.

GCSE and A-level both are available in Brighton College Dubai. “Story of Our Land” course is included in Year 7 and Year 8 syllabus that has a framework of UAE history. By studying it, students learn about the historical, philosophical and geographical theme over the two years. Sixth Form students follow the A-Level curriculum that starts with four subjects and narrows down to three during the Lower Sixth Form year. Students can choose their subjects and seek guidance from the college leadership team. The leadership team assists students in selecting subject combinations and preparing university applications that have to be submitted during early Upper Sixth Year (Year 13).
