GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys was closed in July 2022. All students were sent to the Girls’ campus and the school is now collectively known as GEMS Al Barsha National School.

Before the closure, GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys (NSGB) opened in fall of 2017. The school had to open together with GEMS Al Barsha National School for Girls in 2016. However, seeing an increasing demand for a UK curriculum school only for boys, its launch was delayed.
