The best way to travel to and from Dubai Science Park is through private car or taxi as there are no bus stops in the area. However, shuttle buses F20 and F30 service the area and are within walking distance. The nearest metro station is First Abu Dhabi Bank, it is an 8-minute drive away.

There is no shortage of supermarkets in the area and there are many options just across the residential and commercial towers. Carrefour Market is a supermarket near Dubai Science Park, just 3 minutes away. West Zone Fresh Supermarket is also at the same distance but towards the north of the community. BlueMart Supermarket, Jyothi Supermarket, Greens Supermarket and JMA Supermarket are also nearby and easily reachable.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES NEAR DUBAI SCIENCE PARK
There are no temples or churches in the area but at a 15-minute distance, there is the Fellowship Church and Yalcin Malikanesi Church in Al Sufouh. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is also not too far in the community of Al Safa, roughly 20 minutes away.
The temples situated closest to the area are at a 30 minutes drive in the Al Raffa community. Options here include Shrinath Ji Temple, Shiva Temple and Shree Krishna Haveli, these are some of the most visited temples by the Hindu community. Mahamevnawa Buddhist Temple, the UAE's only Buddhist temple is 20 to 25 minutes away in Jumeirah 1.
There are numerous mosques in the area especially in Barsha South where Dubai Science Park is located. One can find Fatima Buti Atiq Mosque, Masjid Abu Bukar Al Siddiq Mosque, Khalfan Bin Shannaf Mosque, Masjid Al Hussein Ali Yateem and Ali-Al Haj Mosque. There are many other mosques as well that are frequently visited by the residents and workers of Dubai Science Park.
SCHOOLS NEAR DUBAI SCIENCE PARK
Schools scattered throughout Barsha South are preferred by families living in DSP. This is mainly due to the high amount of reputable schools near Dubai Science Park. Schools offering the British curriculum are quite popular. Reputable options include Foremarke School, Kings School Al Barsha, GEMS Founders School. Also, there is the GEMS Al Barsha National School which has separate campuses for girls and boys.
Other notable options 10 minutes away consist of GEMS World Academy. It offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum from pre-primary to Year 12. Dubai Heights Academy offers the UK curriculum until Year 6 and the UK/IB curriculum until Year 4.
For higher educational needs of the residents, there are multiple universities located in Knowledge Park. Middlesex University Dubai, University of Manchester Dubai and more are just 13 minutes away.

To facilitate the residents of the area, there are various clinics, pharmacies and hospitals near Dubai Science Park.
Mediclinic Parkview Hospital is the closest hospital situated at a 6-minute drive on Umm Suqeim Road (D63). Medcare Medical Centre and Emirates Hospital are both located 9 minutes away in Motor City. Al Barsha houses the renowned Al Zahra Hospital and Saudi German Hospital, these are slightly further away at a distance of 15 minutes.
Nearby clinics include City Centre Clinic only 3 minutes away and Aster Clinic in Al Barsha, roughly 13 minutes away. A specialized medical option is Dermapath Consult, it is located directly in DSP. It features a state-of-the-art laboratory and focuses on solving dermatologic disorders.
There are many pharmacies within the area as well. There is a Marina Pharmacy near the south of the community. Otherwise, there are two branches of Aster Pharmacy in Barsha South alone.

MALLS IN DUBAI SCIENCE PARK
Malls are the second best representation of Dubai after its beaches. The malls of this city not only cater to the shopping and retail needs of the people but also serve as the best recreational resource.
There is one mall near Dubai Science Park, it is My City Center Al Barsha. This mall stretches across 5,000 sq. m. and is a focal point for the residents of Barsha South and Dubai Science Park. It is a small community mall features 25 retail stores and a few casual dining and fast food outlets.
Larger more well-known malls close to Dubai Science Park include Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina Mall and The Dubai Mall. All of these options are under 20 minutes away.
RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI SCIENCE PARK
The area has a plethora of eateries and cafes around the corner ranging from different cuisines and price points. Popeyes, Wendy’s, Shakespeare and Co. and The Noodle House are less than 10 minutes away. Places serving a variety of authentic Arabic, Indian and Syrian food, such as Saj 2 Go, Marmarita Restaurant, Bazerkan Lebanese Restaurant and Achha Baba Restaurant are also situated in close proximity to DSP.
BEACHES NEAR DUBAI SCIENCE PARK
A beach is not far for the inhabitants of Dubai Science Park. Barely at a 15-minute distance is Al Sufouh Beach, tucked between the two iconic landmarks of the city - Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah. Two minutes further away is the famous Jumeirah Beach which is visited by thousands of tourists every year.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES AND NOTABLE LANDMARKS
The closest landmark is the Dubai Miracle Garden. It holds the Guinness World Record for largest floral installation for their floral replica of the Emirates A380 aircraft. The whole garden is a sight to see with its many different floral arrangments and butterfly garden. Not to mention it is just a 7-minute drive away. Those looking for more of an adrenaline rush can head to Dubai Autodrome. It is the region’s first fully integrated motorsports facility and is located in the north of Motor City.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, FITNESS AND BEAUTY
There are a number of parks surrounding Dubai Science Park. The best place to visit would be the neighbouring Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) community. There are multiple parks all over the JVC neighbourhood, popular options include Khansoor Park, JVC Castle Park and the Circle Community Park.
Grand Flora Salon and Red Door Salon are both located on either side of the area and both are at a distance of 3 minutes. A well-known salon named Dollhouse Beauty Salon is a 7-minutes drive away. Other closely located salons are Senses, Karz Beauty Salon and Better Beauty Salon.
Few gyms that can be reached within a few minutes are DuGym Gymnastics Club, Prime Fitness JVC and R Boot Camp.
Dubai Science Park is a community designed to nurture the science sector. To keep up with one of the most evolving industries in the world, the area hosts various events. It held the Ninth Leadership Series Event in 2018 which focused on renewable energy and sustainable water resource management. The Business Networking Evening at Arab Health is also an initiative taken by Dubai Science Park authorities to promote a healthy relationship within the community. All these events help professionals increase their knowledge about different subjects.
Communal events for residents are not held in the community, those residing in DSP can visit Barsha South and Al Barsha for these. The City Centre Al Barsha often hosts cultural and seasonal events mainly for children.
