Commuting using public transportation in the Commercial District Dubai South is quite convenient. The transit line of Bus F55 has routes that pass from near the community. Other routes of the Dubai bus nearby are F53 and 55. Those looking for metro service can head to Expo Metro Station in a short drive that will connect to key areas of the city within 20-minutes. Muslims can offer their prayers in community mosques near Commercial District Dubai. These mosques are easily accessible in a 15 to 20-minute drive.

Christian community members can drive for 25-minutes towards the north-western side to visit St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church, Dubai. Moreover, the largest Gurdwara in Dubai – Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, is also within the same driving distance.

Parents can find plenty of nurseries and schools a short drive away from the community. The popular ones are BlueBird Nursery Dubai South and British Oak Montessori Nursery.

Greenfield International School offers the IB curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 12 students, while The International School of Choueifat (ISC) DIP is a co-educational school following the SABIS curriculum. Both the schools are situated in the neighbouring community, Dubai Investments Park and are accessible in a 20 to 25-minute drive. Other schools near the Commercial District Dubai are Delhi Private School and Dove Green Private School.

People can seek medical assistance from Access Clinic Jafza within a 15-minute drive. The clinic has a qualified team of general practitioners treating ailments for patients of all age groups. Other clinics near Commercial District are Right Health Al Azhar Clinic and Noor Al Shefa Clinic.

NEARBY AREAS

Commercial District is situated a bit far from the central city, but the well-connected road network provides ease for commuting. The residential districts, including Dubai Investments Park and Jumeirah Golf Estates, are situated to the eastern side, while the mixed-use development Jebel Ali is located to the northern side. People can also reach the emirate of Abu Dhabi in a half an hour drive via Sheikh Mohammed Zayed Road.

The Outlet Village by Meeras is a popular shopping facility.

The Outlet Village by Meeras is quite similar to the concept of Dubai Outlet Mall, featuring several retail outlets of high-end brands offering products at a lower price point. Some of the popular stores in the mall are Adidas, Aldo, DKNY, Banana Republic, Nike, Skechers and Sephora. The shopping mall also has a valet parking service, open Wi-Fi and prayer rooms. People can reach the mall in a 20-minute drive. Other malls near the Commercial District are Ibn Battuta Mall and Sapphire Mall.

RESTAURANTS NEAR COMMERCIAL DISTRICT

There are many restaurants near the Commercial District offering a variety of cuisine. These include:

All these restaurants are around a 10 to 15-minute drive. However, there are plans underway for restaurants in the district which will be completed soon.

BEACHES NEAR COMMERCIAL DISTRICT

Some of the top public beaches in Dubai are located a 20 to 30-minute drive away. These include JBR Beach, Jebel Ali Beach and Sufouh Beach.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES AND NOTABLE LANDMARKS

Dubai Expo 2020 is a global festival in which 192 countries from all around the world are participating. Each country has its pavilion inspired by three major themes; Sustainability, Opportunity and Mobility. These pavilions in Expo 2020 are designed by renowned architects hosting concerts, conferences, regional events and much more. It is a short drive from the district.   

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a popular leisure spot near the district. It has three theme parks and a water park; Riverland, Motiongate, Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland and Legoland Waterpark. The Hollywood-inspired theme park Motiongate Dubai has roller coasters, several key rides and meet and greet sessions with your favourite characters. The six zones of Legoland have around 40 rides for 2 to 12 years old children. It will take a 19-minute drive to reach the theme park.

Once completed, the district will feature plenty of recreational facilities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among people. Some of them are:

Commercial District is set close to the Dubai Expo 2020, hosting a range of events and fun-filled activities for everyone. Some of the best Expo 2020 events include Ousha and the Moon (a projection show), Salama’s Secret and other musical concerts and cultural performances.

The strategic position of the neighbourhood also offers plenty of advantages to business owners. Since it is a commercial district, people won’t find long-term accommodation options in the area.
