ABOUT AL FURJAN
Al Furjan or just Furjan is located next to Discovery Gardens and is headed by master developer Nakheel. Al Furjan aims to build a friendly villa community for its residents and is located between Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
The community is made up of a shared network of pathways and amenities. Furjan will benefit from linked cycle routes running through Discovery Gardens, Garden View Villas and Al Furjan - which will result in a 40 km cycle track for the communities. Al Furjan's property types range from over 4,000 apartments, houses, hotels and commercial spaces, with more under construction, to be launched by 2020.

Al Furjan Dubai is a new gated community developed by Nakheel, it provides a private and secure family living environment away from the city. The two community centres - Al Furjan Pavillion and Al Furjan West Pavillion - feature a range of amenities such as swimming pools, sports courts, restaurants, cafes and retail outlets.

Transportation and Parking Spaces in Al Furjan
Currently, there is no real public transport access for the residents of the Al Furjan community. Ibn Battuta and Energy are the closest metro stations but those are a short drive away. There is some good news for the residents of Al Furjan, as the new metro line that will be developed is adding metro stations parallel to Al Furjan's community, this will be a part of the Expo 2020 project which is currently under construction and will be completed by end of 2019 and will add immense value to this community.
There are dedicated parking lots all across the neighbourhood, for the two Al Furjan Pavillion Community Centres and also for the Al Furjan club which has 300 parking spaces. Otherwise, buildings come with their own basement parking, street parking is available as well and villas come with their own parking spaces.

Supermarkets in Al Furjan
Spinneys Al Furjan is a part of the Al Furjan Pavillion community mall. There are also the smaller W Fresh and West Zone supermarkets nearby to service the community, both of which offer home delivery. Nearby at the border of Discovery Gardens is a Carrefour Market and then Ibn Battuta has the massive Carrefour Hypermarket for your main grocery needs.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES IN AL FURJAN
There is the Al Furjan West Mosque located next to the Al Furjan West Pavillion, alongside this the Al Furjan Mosque is still under construction and will be completed in the first half of 2019, meanwhile, you can always visit the Masjid Abdullah Ali Al-Chaafar in Discovery Gardens.
St. Gregorios Orthodox Church is the closest church for the residents of Al Furjan. There is also the International Nepalese Community Church, both these churches are located in Jebel Ali Village which borders Al Furjan.
Currently, there are no temples located in Furjan, but the Sikh gurudwara Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Gurudwara is a 13-minute drive away. Hindu temples can be found 40 minutes away in Bur Dubai.

The Arbor School in Al Furjan, newly opened in September 2018 is the first sustainable school in the UAE. It offers a high standard of education based on the National Curriculum of England. The Arbor School's curriculum ends at Year 6 and annual fees start at AED 56k. The closest beaches to the Al Furjan community are in Dubai Marina which is about 20-minutes away by car. There are multiple boardwalk restaurants and retail outlets to enjoy. The lack of public transport might be a little inconvenient for some and since the area is still developing, parts of it are under construction. This will be resolved once Al Furjan Dubai is fully completed in 2020 with the addition of 2,000 more homes and a metro line parallel to the community, which will also increase the value of living in the area.
