It was founded in 1994 upon the directions of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and today, it is run under the patronage of his son His Highness Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is the emirate’s only polo club spread over an area of 300 hectares of grassland and boasts the best polo and equestrian facilities. Another notable landmark in the neighbourhood is Ghantoot Marina and Resort. It has 250 berths, a beach club and a spa. One can also enjoy water sports activities including water skiing, scuba diving, parasailing and much more. Xtreme Wake in Ghantoot Marina is one of the popular spots for wakeboarding in Dubai. The leisure facilities will include a waterfront area dedicated to yachts and boats and several watersports activities.
Abu Dhabi’s Q Holding and Egypt’s Ora Real Estate Development Group will build a mixed-use sustainable project in Ghantoot. The integrated smart city will spread across 20 million sq. m. and will feature recreational facilities, a hotel, residential units and commercial spaces.
