ABOUT DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
Dubai World Central or DWC is a grand multiphase development based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is located 37 km South-west of the mainland, right opposite Jebel Ali Freezone Extension. This rapidly developing project was renamed as Dubai South in 2015.
Sprawling over an area of 145 sq. km., the innovative project was first launched in 2006 as a free zone and freehold development, under the flagship of the government. DWC is a well-planned community well-equipped with amenities needed to maintain a luxurious lifestyle. The area is developing at a fast pace to accommodate a population of around one million. TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SPACES IN DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL

With rapidly developing infrastructure, it has become easier to access Dubai World Central via metro, public buses and a large network of roads. Three main highways including Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), Emirates Road (E611) and Expo Road (E77) provide quick access to the community.
Public Transportation in DWC
Residents can avail the services of RTA bus route F55. The shuttle passes every hour from Ibn Battuta Metro Station with the final stop at Al Maktoum International Airport. It services the commercial side of the project including Logistics City and Aviation City. Furthermore, the closest bus stops to Residential City are found in the community of Dubai Investments Park (DIP). These would be a 14-minute drive away further connecting to the Ibn Battuta and Danube metro stations.
Transportation in Dubai World Central is expected to improve further. The Dubai Metro Red Line expansion, called Route 2020, is planned to service the Dubai South area. Currently, the closest metro stations are UAE Exchange Metro Station and Danube Metro Station, both 30 minutes from Residential District.
Parking spaces in Dubai World Central are well-managed. The residential communities have dedicated areas with plenty of space for visitors as well. Also, those who live in private villas park their cars in separate garages or basements. As the project nears completion, visitor parking bays will also be part of the community.
AMENITIES, SCHOOLS AND HEALTHCARE
Tenants of the residential area will have all the amenities at a short walking distance. The commercial and retail centres of the community will cater to the needs of residents. Supermarkets, schools, clinics and other nearby facilities will be accessible within a few minutes.
SUPERMARKETS IN DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
There is a branch of ZOOM mart in Logistics City, it is reachable in 8 minutes from the Residential District. The store offers a wide range of grocery items and has a small cafeteria. Grand Supermarket is another option in DWC, located near Gate 5. The residents can fulfil all their requirements through these two options while more marts and local groceries will be operational soon.
Other supermarkets near Dubai World Central include Hilal Al Madina Supermarket, Nesto Caravan Supermarket, Parco Supermarket and Naseem Al Madina Supermarket. All of these options are located in Dubai Investments Park, roughly 15 minutes away from DWC Residential District.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES NEAR DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
A community mosque is near the residential area, residents can easily attend the call to prayers. Another mosque near Dubai World Central is Al Maktoum Airport Mosque where the travellers offer prayers in a peaceful environment. The mosques in Dubai Investments Part are close by for Muslim residents looking to offer prayers. It includes Masjid Tayyab Mohammed Ibrahim, Juma Masjid and Al Salam Masjid, all reachable in under 15 minutes.

There are no temples or churches in Dubai South at the moment so those who belong to different beliefs need to travel to other areas in the emirate. Churches such as St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St Mina Copts Orthodox Church Jebel Ali Dubai, United Christian Church of Dubai and the Sikh gurudwara, Guru Nanak Darbar are located in the Al Muntazah neighbourhood of Jebel Ali, 30 minutes away. Hindu residents will have to travel for 50 minutes to reach the Shiva and Krishna temples in Bur Dubai area.
SCHOOLS NEAR DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
There are no nurseries or schools in Dubai World Central at the moment. One can consider a few options close by such as Tiny Town Nursery, Chubby Cheeks Nursery and The Children’s Garden. All of these nurseries are located in the north of Dubai Investments Park, 20 minutes from the residential area of Dubai World Central.
There are a few more schools near Dubai World Central concentrated in the locality of Dubai Investments Park, roughly 15 to 20 minutes away. GreenField International School follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, Dove Green Private School offers the British curriculum, Bright Riders School offers the Indian curriculum and EYFS UK Curriculum for Foundation Stages. Moreover, there is a branch of British Columbia Canadian School for anyone searching for a Canadian curriculum school in proximity.
Further, The University of South Wales Dubai near Al Maktoum International Airport and the University of Balamand Dubai are the nearest options for those pursuing higher education. Both can be reached in 25 minutes from Residential District.
CLINICS AND HOSPITALS NEAR DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
Finding a hospital near Dubai World Central is not an issue. While medical facilities aren’t operational yet NMC Royal Hospital in Dubai Investments Park and Aster Cedars Hospital in Jebel Ali can be reached in 25 minutes.
GSM Medical Center, GMC Clinics and Access Clinic are medical clinics and centres in Dubai Investments Park. Pharmacies in a 20-minute radius include Super Care Pharmacy DIP, Aster DIP Pharmacy and Access Pharmacy.
NEARBY AREAS
DWC lies in proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport and the Business Park, a free zone in Dubai South. Residential City is connected to the key landmarks of Dubai via arterial roads and the extension of Dubai Metro. Besides that, the sub-communities that surround the master project are Downtown Jebel Ali, Dubai Investment Park (DIP) and Discovery Gardens.

MALLS NEAR DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
DWC will soon introduce community shopping centres and malls to its different communities. The Pulse Mall located in The Pulse community is expected to launch fun activities and international brand outlets upon completion. Dubai South Mall near Residential City is another highly awaited shopping mall in Dubai World Central.
For now, residents can consider shopping malls near Dubai World Central such as Shoppers Mall, Jebel Ali Mall and Parco Centre. All three of these malls are located in Jebel Ali Industrial Area and have a supermarket, multiple exchange centres and a handful of stores and restaurants.
Larger shopping malls near DWC include Sapphire Mall in Dubai Industrial City, Ibn Battuta Mall in Jebel Ali Village and The Outlet Village in Jebel Ali. All of these destinations can be reached in 30 minutes or less.

RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
There a few restaurants in Dubai World Central, these are located near the commercial side of the community. Residents can visit the healthy eatery Skini Panini, Golositalia to try out Italian dishes and Olives Restaurant for Indian food. There is a branch of McDonald’s at the ENOC petrol pump outside Gate 5 and another McDonald’s inside the airport.
For more upscale dining options residents can visit the food and beverage part of Dubai Parks and Resorts called Riverland Dubai. Here there are options such as Super Chix for burgers and fries, Bol Gappa for Indian/Italian food and Al Mashowa for Emirati cuisine. For sweet treats you can head to Ella’s Creamery and Sugarfied & Co.
However, as Pulse Mall and Dubai South Mall reach completion, residents will get a complete food court and multiple casual dining restaurants nearby.
BEACHES NEAR DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
Picnics and parties at beaches near Dubai World Central are ideal for those who like long drives. There are many choices of public beaches and resorts at a 45-minute distance such as Jumeirah Beach, JBR Beach, Sunset Beach and Marina Beach.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES AND NOTABLE LANDMARKS
Al Maktoum International Airport is the biggest landmark in DWC. It is also the second largest airport in Dubai, it is planned to be the largest airport in the world in terms of freight handled.
The Golf District will be a key highlight of this area, as it boasts a huge 200 acre 18-hole golf course equipped with residential and commercial components. Also, this particular development is set to accommodate approximately 160,000 people with the Emaar South community.
Dubai Parks and Resorts is a key lesiure attraction near Dubai World Central. It consists of four individual theme parks in the same location. You have Bollywood Parks with rides and games based off of popular Bollywood movies. Motiongate Dubai combines rides from your favourite characters from DreamWorks Animation, Lionsgate and Columbia Pictures. Legoland and Legoland Waterworld feature 40+ Lego-themed rides for visitors of all ages. As we mentioned before Riverland Dubai is part of the park, it houses restaurants, a few retail stores and even hosts events for the community.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
DWC is the official site of the World Expo 2020 and the biennial Dubai Air Show. The exhibition district in the northern region of the community hosts the World Expo. It will also be utilised as a stage for big event celebrations and community exhibitions.
