Known to be one of Dubai’s central districts Al Jafiliya has a lot to offer its residents. It is located right before the Trade Centre roundabout leading to Dubai’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), adjacent to Zabeel Park and the bustling Karama area. Thus, residents around here are just a few minutes away from popular attractions. The area is mainly composed of residential units including apartments and villas for rent. But it is also home to Al Hanaa Shopping Centre, Max Fashion Metro Station (previously known as Al Jafiliya Metro Station) and a few consulates.

Al Jafiliya offers convenience and a range of day-to-day facilities to its residents. Buzzing with restaurants, retail stores, supermarkets and other commercial spots along Al Mankhool Road the community offers a vibrant lifestyle. However, some areas in the locality have a quiet and peaceful ambience as opposed to other residential areas which are packed commercial spots. Ranging from luxurious villa compounds to studio apartments, Al Jafiliya offers a variety of residential options for single expats, professionals, couples on a budget or those looking for family homes.

Along with various amenities, there is a great number of recreational spots within an 8 km radius including the famous Zabeel Park and The Dubai Mall. Here, residents have a myriad of restaurants within quick access, offering a wide variety of cuisines. The community also features many basketball courts, gyms and salons at short intervals.

There are two types of properties in Al Jafiliya: Apartment complexes and villas. Most apartment complexes in the area provide amenities such as storage rooms, barbeque areas and security systems. Offering a range of configurations, the flats in the community are generally well-maintained.

On the other hand, villas in Al Jafiliya offer a luxurious lifestyle. The villa compounds provide a secluded environment along with amenities such as lush-green lawns, parking areas, spacious basements and swimming pools.

Rental properties in Al Jafiliya include 1, 2 and 3-bedroom flats as well as 3 to 6-bedroom villas. A few retail spaces are also on offer in Hana Centre.

Currently, investors will find limited options. Some properties for sale in Al Jafiliya include residential plots as well as 2-bed, 4-bed and 5-bed villas.

Villa residents have dedicated spaces for parking in Al Jafiliya. Some apartment blocks also feature basement parking or street parking areas. Also, using public transport is quite hassle-free as residents have close access to the metro station and bus stops.

Max Fashion Metro Station (previously known as Al Jafiliya Metro Station) is located in the community near Zabeel Park on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street. Many Dubai to Al Ain buses also shuttle from here, such as E201 that stops at Al Jafiliya Station.

Many marts serve the daily grocery needs. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets in Al Jafiliya. The nearest ones include Baqer Mohebi Supermarket on Al Mankhool Road and the Emirates Cooperative Society next to Al Hanaa Centre. Other options include West Zone Supermarket, Sunrise City Supermarket and Miramar Supermarket.

Finding a mosque in Al Jafiliya is easy as the community has many at short intervals. Since these are spread out, the residents will find at least one mosque they can reach within a few minutes. Al Jafiliya Mosque, Sheikha Latifa Mosque, Imam Hussain Mosque and Abu Ubaida bin Jarrah Mosque are some mosques in Al Jafiliya that residents and visitors can go to.

Besides, the iconic Jumeirah Mosque is 7 to 10 minutes away from the community. Undeniably one of the most famous landmarks of Dubai, the much-photographed mosque opens its doors to people belonging to all faiths. It is the manifestation of authentic Fatimid architecture, with the capacity of hosting 12,000 visitors at a time. In fact, it is one of the few offering mosque tours to non-muslims.

Churchgoers can head to the neighbouring locality, Oud Metha where they will find a cluster of churches. Located about a 10-minute drive away; Coptic Church, Christian Fellowship Church, Holy Trinity Church and Immanuel Assemblies of God Church are some options in close proximity. For community members who pay visits to Hindu temples, the nearest options are a short 10-minute drive away in Bur Dubai. Gurdwara Temple, Baba Temple Wasl Road, Mahamevnawa Buddhist Temple and Shiva Temple are easily accessible.

There are few nurseries and schools in Al Jafiliya, however, the residents have even broader options given easy accessibility to those in nearby localities. Following the American curriculum, New Academy School is a notable option. It is a 10-minute drive away in Al Raffa. Moreover, Ambassador School is another option for school-going children. 7 minutes away in the neighbourhood of Al Mankhool, it is a considerable option for those who prefer the Indian curriculum. Also, this institute has received a “good” rating from KHDA.

As for nurseries, there are a number of options easily accessible such as Smart Children’s Nursery, Little Star Nursery and Orange Tree Children’s Nursery.

For the ones in pursuit of higher education, various educational institutes are located nearby. European University College, The American College of Dubai, Canadian University Dubai and Mohammad Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences are around 10 to 15 minutes away. In addition to these, the educational hubs of Academic City and Knowledge Village are reachable within a span of 20 to 30 minutes.

The community members of Al Jafiliya have close access to several hospitals. Belhoul European Hospital is one of the hospitals near Al Jafiliya. It is located 6 to 8 minutes away depending on where you are located. The hospital offers specialised medical treatment in various fields such as radiology, cardiology, speech therapy,  psychiatry and orthopaedics. Apart from this, Iranian Hospital, Emirates Hospitals Clinics, Aster Hospital Mankhool and Al Badaa Health Centre are about 10 to 12 minutes away from the community. Residents also find themselves close to many clinics conveniently located in nearby communities such as Al Hudaiba.

Al Jafiliya is in the vicinity of Bur Dubai, so it is close to many residential communities there such as Al Mankhool, Al Hudaiba and Za’abeel. The neighbourhood is so close to Dubai Frame that it is seen from most parts of the locality even at a distance. Other areas surrounding Jaffiliya include Al Badaa, Al Satwa and Al Raffa.

Given its prime location, it enjoys close access to the residential and commercial hubs including Downtown Dubai. If you are coming from Business Bay, it will take around 16 minutes to reach by car. Whereas, the attractions in Jumeirah are around 15 to 18 minutes away depending on traffic.

Moreover, the locality is circled with highly notable spots of the emirate including Dubai World Trade Centre, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Souk Al Bahar and The Dubai Mall. Al Jafiliya residents also enjoy easy access to Sheikh Zayed Road which conveniently connects the community to many areas in and out of the emirate.

Al Jafiliya is home to Al Hanna Centre, a 3-storey shopping destination. Built in 1995, the centre has been famous for the wide variety of wedding gowns it offers. Al Hanaa Centre also features a travel agency, furniture stores, optical stores, a pharmacy, salons and fitness clubs. Various other shopping centres are also in proximity such as Al Ghazal Mall in Al Bada’a, 10 minutes away and Wafi Mall on Oud Metha Road about an 8 to 10-minute drive away.

On top of this, there is also the world-famous Dubai Mall, only a short drive from Jafiliya. Many fashion stores and high street brands and other shops in Dubai Mall make it the first choice for locals and tourists alike. More importantly, with the opening of Fashion Avenue, it has become a hub of all the brands you’d think of under one roof.

The picturesque Italian inspired Mercato Shopping Mall is also located about 15 minutes from the area. H&M, Diesel and C&K are just a few of the best shops in Mercato Mall, you’d want to hit right away on your next shopping spree.

Foodies would undeniably enjoy living in Al Jafiliya since the region is packed with eateries. From the Chinese restaurant Red Dragon to authentic Lebanese flavours served at Bazerkan Lebanese Restaurant, residents can try a multitude of different cuisines within their vicinity.

Those looking for authentic Japanese cuisine can head straight to the chic restaurant Okku in The H Hotel which is about 10 minutes away. Other popular restaurants in Al Jafiliya include Ravi Restaurant, Seleraku Restaurant, Pars Restaurant, Char Minar Darbar Restaurant and Galvin Bistro Restaurant. Patrons also like to visit Zam Zam Mandi Restaurant in Al Jafiliya to enjoy delicious Mandi in Dubai. One benefit of living in Al Jafiliya is that you can find both fine-dining restaurants and budget-friendly spots in closer proximity.

The beaches in Dubai are perfect for an enthralling retreat with family and friends. For a relaxing time alongside the tranquil shore, residents of Al Jafiliya can visit Jumeirah Public Beach. It is about 18 minutes apart from the community.

Sunset Beach and Kite Beach are other beaches near Al Jafiliya, also 18 to 20 minutes away. With Burj Al Arab as a backdrop, both the beaches attract a big crowd each day as they offer the perfect blend of leisure and relaxation.

Jaffiliya is only 3.8 km from the iconic landmark, Dubai Frame. The Palace of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum is another notable landmark within the vicinity. Also, the area is close to the most popular hubs in the emirate, so, it is easy to locate whether you’re coming in from the north or south.

Enjoying a central location, Al Jafiliya is surrounded by a few of the most popular leisure attractions of the emirate. Since the community is close to Sheikh Zayed Road, several 5-star hotels are reachable within a matter of minutes including The H Dubai, Emirates Grand Hotel, Sheraton Grand Hotel, Millennium Plaza Hotel and the world-famous Burj Khalifa. With several recreational destinations, Downtown Dubai is only 12 to 15 minutes away. Also, The Dubai Dolphinarium, Souk Al Bahar and La Mer are some of the family-favourite entertainment points people love visiting given their close proximity.

Located about 5 to 7 minutes away from the community, Dubai Garden Glow is yet another fascinating attraction for the locals. Launched in 2015, the garden changes its theme every year. The enchanting park displays sparkling works from different artists belonging to different parts of the world. What’s even more fascinating than the glowing sculptures is that recycled material is used to make the displays, which adds meaning to the enchanting exhibition. Not only do the locals enjoy breezy evenings surrounded by dazzling works of art, but the park also attracts many tourists each year.

Lying next to Al Jafiliya is the popular, Zabeel Park. It is a public park that draws huge crowds thanks to its multiple recreational facilities. Known as one of the best parks in Dubai, it is a popular spot for family picnics, sports and live shows. The park offers enthralling features such as a boating lake, cricket ground, a train ride service, children’s play area, boat rental services, WiFi service, mobile charging points and barbeque services. The entry fees per person are AED 5, however, it offers free entry for those with special needs and children under 2 years old. With a high number of people visiting the park every day, it has earned high praise among the residential community.

Residents can also head to Al Jafiliya Park which hosts a number of basketball courts. The park is also great for an evening stroll to de-stress after a tiring day.

Fitness enthusiasts living in Al Jafiliya have several options when it comes to gyms. Apart from fitness centres established in residential complexes, various independent gymnasiums are also located nearby. Options include Al Bawasel Gym, Burn Time Gym, Eagle Gym and Target Gym. What’s interesting is that the fitness centres are evenly spread out in all dimensions; which means wherever you live in the community, you can find at least one gym within close proximity.

There are various salons dotted around, making it convenient for the residents to stay well-groomed. Hair Avenue Salon, Donna Ricci Salon, Bodyline Ladies Spa and Salon and Diva Gents Salon are some centres frequently visited by the locals.

Various events are scheduled throughout the year at different spots in and out of the community. A few carnivals and events are held at Zabeel Park where families can go along with their children where they can enjoy entertainment and food items. On New Year’s Eve, residents head straight to experience the enthralling fireworks and lighting show at Burj Khalifa. Thanks to Max Fashion Metro Station, people can conveniently reach the site as parking on New Year’s Eve can be a big hassle.

Al Jafiliya is located in the central area of Dubai and is connected to several main hubs of the emirate. The community provides a complete lifestyle with various amenities just a stone’s throw away. The area, however, does not have any freehold property on offer. This might be something to consider if you are interested in purchasing your own home.
