Al Hudaiba is a small community within Bur Dubai. To its immediate northwest, you will find the community of Pearl Jumeirah. This is a community with several hotels, malls, consulates and places of interest. What makes this community stand out is its proximity to Dubai Dry Docks, which is established in the community of Al Mina.

The community mainly consists of rental apartments and you won’t find any freehold property here. However, the location is ideal for professionals who work in Bur Dubai or the dry docks that are just north of this community. PROPERTIES IN Al HUDAIBA
In regards to properties in Al Hudaiba, you will only find apartments for rent here. These apartments could be with either one or two bedrooms. Accordingly, the typical Al Hudaiba 1-bed apartment will usually come with two baths and around 890 sq. ft. of floor space. There are other variants available in which the floor space is bigger, such as a 1-bed with either 900 or 1,205 sq. ft. of floor space. There’s also a slight variation between the prices. The most affordable 1-bed flat will cost around AED 52k while the most expensive 1-bed unit will demand an annual rent of AED 75k.
For 2-bed flats in Al Hudaiba, the most affordable unit which can be rented for AED 75k per annum will come with three bathrooms and 1,276 sq. ft. of floor space. On the other hand, the most expensive 2-bed rental flat will come with a communal pool, two baths and 1,679 sq. ft. of floor space. You can expect to shell-out AED 88k per annum to lease a flat in this class. Accordingly, the rental rates vary because of the amenities found in certain buildings. Differences can also be based on the floor space of each flat.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SPACES IN Al HUDAIBA
When it comes to finding parking in Al Hudaiba, If you are residing in one of the many apartment buildings in Al Hudaiba, chances are that you’ll be provided with a covered parking space. However, if that is not the case, then you may have to park on the street where you’ll have to pay to park your car.
For those wondering about public transportation in Al Hudaiba, it is important to know that this community does not have a metro station situated within its borders. The closest metro station is Al Jafiliya which will take 42 minutes on foot to reach and 6 minutes via car.
AMENITIES, SCHOOLS AND HEALTHCARE
SUPERMARKETS IN Al HUDAIBA
Despite being amongst the smallest communities in Dubai, the number of supermarkets in Al Hudaiba is significant. There are various types of supermarkets where one can procure goods. Some of these supermarkets include Talal Supermarket, Baqer Mohebi Supermarket and Carrefour Market. Talal Supermarket stocks several types of fruits, veggies, spices and they also have a decent selection of cookware accessories such as utensils and knives.
Baqer Mohebi Supermarket is larger and more popular than the latter. This supermarket has a decent selection of frozen foods that include poultry and frozen vegetables. At this supermarket, you can fill up on your monthly groceries without having to miss out on anything.
Finally, for those who want the complete departmental store shopping experience, they could shop at Carrefour which is located on Mankhool Road.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES IN Al HUDAIBA
Although there are no churches in Al Hudaiba, one will quickly come to find that nearly all churches are situated in the community of Oud Metha, right on Oud Metha Road. There are 12 churches located close to each other. Whether you are a Catholic, Protestant, Coptic, Orthodox or Evangelist, there’s a church for you in this community. You will only have to drive for 10 minutes or more to reach there as this community is around 6.3 kilometres to the southeast of Al Hudaiba.
Despite the fact that there are no temples in Al Hudaiba, One can visit Shiva Temple that is situated on Al Fahidi Street, which isn’t too far away. This temple is dedicated to Shiva and Krishna. There’s also Baba Temple on Wasl Road as well as Shrinathji Temple. Also, there is a gurdwara in the area for the Sikh community.
There are two large mosques in Al Hudaiba. One is located on 23rd and 6B Street while the other is the Mosque of Omar ibn al-Khattab which is located on 7 and 4b Street in Al Hudaiba.
SCHOOLS IN Al HUDAIBA
There is a decent selection of schools in Al Hudaiba, residents have the option of choosing between two nurseries: Dubai Gem Private Nursery and New Dubai Nursery. When it comes to primary schools, the nearest one to the community is New Academy School. All in all, there are around 10 schools that are just 5 minutes’ drive away from Al Hudaiba.
There’s also Special Needs Future Development Centre, a school for children with special needs. However, out of all these schools, Ambassador School seems to be most popular for its focus on quality education. This school has been awarded as a top performer in math, biology, computer studies and commercial activities.
CLINICS AND HOSPITALS IN Al HUDAIBA
There are around six to seven medical clinics in Al Hudaiba, the most popular of them all is Globe Health General Clinic. This clinic offers a variety of medical care treatments include those related to gynaecology, dentistry and general health check-ups.
For those wondering whether there are any reputable hospitals in Al Hudaiba. One will be pleased to find that the closest hospital is Belhoul European Hospital which is located on the first floor of Dune Center Building. This private hospital is equipped with the latest medical facilities and technology. It also has dedicated sectors that cater to a specific medical field such as gastronomy, laparoscopic surgery, ear nose throat and paediatrics. Also, this hospital is JCI certified so you are likely to find the best healthcare service when a medical emergency arises.
Just north of Al Hudaiba, one will find the community of Al Mina, where the Dubai Dry Docks are situated. To its immediate south, there is the community of Al Jaffiiya which is known as a centrally located community in Dubai. To its east, there is the community of Al Raffa, while to the west, one will find the community of Al Badaa. In all, Al Hudaiba is surrounded by well-established communities within Dubai.
SHOPPING, DINING AND NIGHTLIFE
The nightlife and the overall standard of living in Al Hudaiba is anything but boring which means that you’ll find plenty to do and experience on the weekend. For one, residents can visit Docks Pub which is located in Ramada Hotel in Hudaiba. This bar is located right on Al Mina Road. One great thing about this pub is that it has a happy hour and has a casual environment with outdoor seating availability. Whether you are craving a shot of whiskey or need a refreshing pint of beer, you’ll get your fix at the Docks Pub – and you won’t even have to travel that far.
MALLS IN AL HUDAIBA
Although there are no malls in Al Hudaiba, the closest shopping mall is Al Ghazal Mall which is located on 2nd of December Street, Al Bada'a. This is a medium, single-storey mall that has several discount stores in it. There are also some cafés and restaurants you can visit. This is a great mall to visit for those who don’t want to travel far.
However, if you are willing to drive for 11 minutes, you can find yourself in one of the biggest malls in the Gulf – Dubai Mall. This is a massive mall, one that cannot be seen in one day. If you are looking for name brand fashion items, this is the mall where you are going to find them. The mall has fashion brand stores such as Cartier, Chanel, Cloe, Tiffany & Co, La Perla and many others. You will also find more affordable options, such as Zara, Mango, H&M and Forever 21.
While you shop, you can dine on the finest selection of cuisines from around the world, whether you prefer American food, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Indian, or Pakistani, you can find it in this mall. To get your sugar fix, you can get yourself fresh doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.
This mall is also considered to have one of the most exciting entertainment venues. Some great examples of entertainment and fun in Dubai Mall include watching the Dubai Fountain show or taking your children to KidZania, a small city where they can explore and let their imaginations run wild. You can also go all the way up to the top of Burj Khalifa or be mesmerized by watching Sand Tiger Sharks swim at Dubai Mall Aquarium. Another exciting thing you won’t find at other malls is the chance to fly a simulator of the Airbus A380.
If you simply want to relax and watch a movie with your friends or significant other, you can opt to watch the latest blockbusters playing at Reel Cinemas in Dubai Mall. Finally, if you are brave enough, you can try visiting the mall’s haunted house which is called Hysteria.
RESTAURANTS IN AL HUDAIBA
There's a huge selection of intresting restaurants in Al Hudaiba. There are roughly 17 restaurants within and the immediate neighbourhood. Food from across the globe can be savoured here. However, if you are not too big on traditional cuisine, there’s always the option to dine fast-food.
BEACHES NEAR AL HUDAIBA
There are a few beaches near Al Hudaiba. The closest one is Jumeirah Public Beach. This beach is popular with westerners and you’ll find people lounging under the sun. The beach also has a walkway that is great for a morning or midnight stroll and it has several food stalls as well. The beach also has a few upscale restaurants and cafes where beachgoers could enjoy a cup of hot coffee after a long day at the beach. Since this is a public beach, you will find dedicated lifeguards on duty so you and your family members can feel safe while swimming.
There’s also another popular beach just 15 minutes away, called Open Beach. This is a sheltered beach that also has a boardwalk. There are several benches to sit on and you’ll even find some shower facilities. This beach also has a dedicated playground for children.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES AND NOTABLE LANDMARKS
Although there aren’t any golf courses within the community’s borders, Dubai Creek and Golf Club is just 15 minutes away via car. Here, you’ll find the championship golf course that has 72 pars, 18 holes and 6,967 yards of total golf-course area.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, FITNESS AND BEAUTY
Although there are no community parks in Al Hudaiba, a 5-minute drive will take you to two parks in the nearby community of Mankhool. These two parks are called Mankhool Community Park and Mankhool Park. The parks aren’t the biggest parks you have seen, but they are worth visiting as one will find several shaded areas and benches where park visitors could sit and watch their children play.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Overall it’s a small community, but surrounding it are communities such as Satwa, Al Jaffiliya, and Pearl Jumeirah. Therefore, compared to living in the suburbs, the rents here are on the higher side. While living here, one doesn’t necessarily need to own a car as the public transportation in the area is highly reliable and metro stations are accessible in close by communities. However, there is a considerable amount of urban noise to be expected when living here.
