SUPERMARKETS NEAR ASTER
Since the entire master project is under construction, the retail presence is yet to be seen. For now, supermarkets near Aster include Spinneys in Mira Town Centre and New Mart that is off Dubai – Al Ain Road. It may take over a 15-minute drive to reach any of these two.
MOSQUES NEAR ASTER
To pray in congregation, residents will have to drive to one of the mosques near Aster until a prayer facility is built within the development. Abdullah Mosque is near a cattle farm, while there are two mosques on the other side of Jebel Ali – Lehbab Road (E77). There is Sheikh Khalifa Mosque at the intersection near Ud Al Bayda. It will take around 20 minutes to reach most of these mosques.
OTHER PLACES OF WORSHIP NEAR ASTER
There are no temples near Aster at a distance less than 35 kilometres. But to access the closest of them all, one needs to prepare for a drive of 40 minutes. These include Automech Gurudwara and India Harnath Ke Jama Masjid.
As for churches near Aster, there is one chapel next to the Minhad Airbase development that lies to the north. Other is City Hill Global Church Dubai that can be found after a drive on Dubai – Al Ain Road towards Nad Al Sheba side.
SCHOOLS NEAR ASTER
Options for pre-schoolers are limited near the development, but soon a few may open up within Akoya Oxygen as the development progresses. For now, these are the nearest nurseries:

BEACHES NEAR ASTER
Since it is an area situated away from the coastal region, you won’t find any beaches near Aster. Some of the popular beaches in Dubai are located at a travel distance of 40 minutes. If you are looking for a beach spot where you can witness the moment the sun disappears below the horizon then Sunset Beach is the place to go. Kite Beach offers an array of watersports as well as dining options. For a peaceful time by the beach, you can go to Black Palace Beach.

Since most of the DAMAC communities involve community events throughout the year, we can expect the same from Akoya Oxygen once it has been inhabited. For now, the nearby places that host events include Al Marmoom Heritage Village and Al Sahra Desert Resort Equestrian Centre.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
The central city is away from Aster at a considerable distance. However, residents will not need to drive far too frequently. This is because Akoya Oxygen is being designed as an all-inclusive community that will feature plenty of nature-inspired amenities. These amenities include spa facilities, a hydroponic café, dining promenade, an organic market and an upscale retail area.
