Al Tayy is a small, residential area located in Sharjah which is also known as Al Tai. This suburban community lies at the centre of the emirate, surrounded by many local facilities. It enjoys a prime location at the intersection of two major roads, Emirates Road (E611) and Sharjah Kalba Road (E102). Al Tayy is divided into three sub-communities named Nasma Residences, Basateen Al Tayy, and Wahat Al Tayy.

Located amidst the cultural and commercial hubs of the Emirates, the Al Tayy community is presently under development. Asas Real Estate, a real estate department of Sharjah Islamic Bank, is working on a land of 14 million sq. ft. for a residential project that is largely centred on villas and townhouses. The area is owned by United Investments Group (UIG).

Those who live in Al Tayy enjoy the convenience of an urban lifestyle with many schools, parks, local mosques, retail centres, post offices and social and health clubs all just a short drive away. Residents can benefit from the community’s direct connection to Emirates Road (E611) which offers easy access to Dubai and Ajman. The prime location also makes it easier for residents to travel around the city.

Developed by Arada, Nasma Residences was launched in 2017 and was completed by the year 2019.

There are villas and townhomes of different sizes and designs available for sale in Al Tai. These 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses have features such as a maid’s room, attached and separate bathrooms with a bathtub, stylish kitchen with wooden cabinets and a spacious dining room and lounge.

As the community is still in the developing phase, the options for public transport near Al Tayy are quite a. The nearest bus stops are located at a 19 to 20-minute distance from the community. Recommended ways of travelling around town would be on personal vehicles or public cabs.

For grocery shopping, especially fresh fruits and vegetables, there is a large grocery store available within the area, Spinneys. Many other supermarkets are available within a short distance, sufficing the daily grocery needs of residents. These include Sharjah Coop which is 8-minutes away, Geant Supermarket, Madinat Al Zubair Supermarket and Nasamat Al Madina Supermarket. Another large supermarket is Al Tayy supermarket.

Al Tayy is also home to one of the largest mosques in Sharjah. The mosque is inspired by the Ottoman architectural style. There are also plenty of local mosques in the area including Um Omara Mosque, Al Wafaa Mosque, Al Nabi Ayoub Mosque, Saad Ibn Malik Mosque and more.

For churches, residents will have to travel to Al Yarmook. St.Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of Sharjah, Sharjah Worship Centre, Coptic Church, St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Soonoro Patriarchal Cathedral, Union Church and many more churches are concentrated in one place in Al Yarmook to facilitate Christ believers in the area.

Parents with young ones can find a lot of nursery options in the neighbourhood. One of the top nurseries in Sharjah, British Orchard Nursery in Al Tayy follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The closest option for older children of the community is Sharjah Indian School and GEMS Our Own English High School. Other schools nearby include Al Asma Elementary Girls School, Sharjah International Private School, Al Rowayda School and Emirates American School.  There is also Sharjah Indian School, with separate branches for both girls and boys. The school follows the Indian curriculum and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi, India.

The closest option for higher education is the American University of Sharjah, available at an 18-minute drive. Other universities include the University of Dental Hospital Sharjah, Skyline University College, University of Sharjah and others located in Muwaileh District.

Residents of Al Tayy don’t need to drive too far to get medical aid, as many clinics are available in the region. Residents will find Beverly Hills Speciality Center and New Central Poly Clinic at a short distance of 20-minutes. Dental Club Clinic is an excellent yet cheap dental care clinic within a 25-minute drive

The closest hospital is Ishaq Bin Omran Medical Center which is a 17-minute drive via Emirates Road (E611). This multi-speciality hospital has an experienced team of practitioners on its panel available for emergencies and appointments. Other hospitals nearby include Thumbay Hospital and Daycare on University City Road, Sharjah and Al Qassimi Hospital.

Some pharmacies nearby include Al Khawaneej Pharmacy, Qarain Pharmacy, BinSina Pharmacy and Al Nafees Drug Store.

AI Tayy lies at the intersection of the two major highways of Sharjah: Emirates Road (E611) and Dubai-Ajman Road (E102), which offers easy access to all over Sharjah as well as to Ajman and Dubai. The community also has a close-knitted residential neighbourhood that includes established areas like Al Khawaneej community, Al Suyoh, Al Gharayen and Al Noaf.

For detailed retail therapy sessions, residents can visit the malls of the nearby communities. The closest one is Suyoh Mall in Al Suyoh and Etihad Mall in the Al Khawaneej community. Etihad Mall offers plenty of dining and shopping stores and a play centre for children. City Center Mirdif is another option, 21-minutes away. Other shopping malls near Al Tayy are Oasis Mall Sharjah, Madina Mall, Grand Mall Sharjah and Dubai Festival City Mall.

Al Tayy is located close to several restaurants and cafes offering a wide variety of cuisines and street food items. Some popular restaurants that surround the area include Dine Time Restaurant, Al Qadri Restaurant, Eastern Food Restaurant and Sindh Palace Restaurant.

Friends and families looking for hangout places can check in to one of these popular cafes nearby. Tea-Time Cafe Sharjah, Cafe 2020 and more are available within a radius of 20-25 km.

To enjoy a day at the beach, residents will have to travel for a 20 to 25-minute drive from the area as beaches are located at a minimum of 33km distance. One can visit the Al Mamzar area to enjoy plenty of water sports and fun-filled activities. The most fun things to do at Al Mamzar Beach include snorkelling and jet-skiing. The beach park offers opportunities for outdoor sports such as a basketball court and a roller-skating rink. One can also rent bikes to ride around the park to pump up the heartbeat.

Those living in Al Tayy enjoy easy access to entertainment spots in Sharjah like Sharjah Desert Park and Classic Cars Museum, Sharjah. Both of these popular destinations are available within a driving distance of 20-minutes. Other leisure attractions nearby include Desert Safari Dubai, Arabian Nights Tours Camp and Al Marjan Desert Camps.

In the residential communities of Al Tai, there is an abundance of greenery which is one of the most attractive features of the community. Each villa and townhouse come with private gardens and outdoor spaces decorated with trees and flowers.

Those looking for gyms and salons can visit nearby communities like Al Khawaneej and Al Suyoh for fitness and beauty options. For fitness options, you will find the Wellfit Fitness Home, Spartan Martial Arts and Fitness and CrossFit Hour to be the closest ones. While Zahrat Al Neel Ladies Saloon, NStyle Beauty Lounge and Waqt Al Saadah Beauty Salon are the nearest beauty parlours.

Several events take place in the emirate of Sharjah, one of the biggest is Expo Centre Sharjah, which has recently shifted its location to Al Taawun Street, connecting it directly to Al Tayy via Emirates Road (E611). One of the biggest Sharjah International Book Fairs will be taking place at this new venue.

Moreover, the exhibition centre also boasts six more halls that surround the boulevard of indoor and outdoor space, which will feature more exhibitions and events in the community.

There is a 4 million sq. ft. exhibition and conference centre currently under construction in the Al Tayy district of Sharjah. This new Al Tai Exhibition Centre is strategically located at the crossroad of Emirates Road (E611) and Maliha Street (S116), which is a 30-40 minute drive from Sharjah International Airport.

Villas and apartments in Al Tayy are surrounded by green landscapes and offer high-end amenities. However, facilities like malls and fine-dining restaurants are not available in the community for residents will have to visit the nearby areas.

Al Tayy is located in the midst of Sharjah, next to the Al Suyoh community. It is also close to Al Khawaneej. The area can be easily accessed via Emirates Road (E611).
