ABOUT AL SAFA
Al Safa is a residential area located in central Dubai and home to the famous Safa Park. It is primarily a residential community that borders Umm Suqeim, Al Wasl and Jumeirah. The community is also in close proximity to the happening Downtown Dubai and the bustling Kite Beach. Those living in Al Safa enjoy an eventful lifestyle given its close proximity to the many happening districts in Dubai. The magnificent Dubai Water Canal also passes through the community, where the grand view of Dubai’s skyline can be sighted.
Al Safa is divided into two sub-communities namely Al Safa 1 and Al Safa 2. Both the communities are well established, offering tenants and investors a wide range of villas, apartments and townhouses to choose from.

Sheikh Zayed Road and Jumeirah Road are easily accessible and there are many schools in close proximity to the residential area, making it ideal for families. Villas for rent in Al Safa 1 will cost an average of AED 200k yearly. As Al Safa is an older community there are very few units left for sale, for those looking at buying a villa in the community can expect to spend upwards of AED 8M for a family-sized 5-bedroom home.
As it is a villa community there aren't many apartment complexes in the area. However, the few apartments in the neighbourhood, like the rest of the community have spacious layouts and shared facilities. Most of the apartments for rent in Al Safa 1 are located next to the famous Safa Park, making it convenient to head down for a quick stroll or for families to visit the playgrounds. Whilst there are mainly low-rise residential buildings in the neighbourhood, many of the units come with stunning views of the grand Dubai Canal from the balconies and windows.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SPACES IN AL SAFA
For the residents of Al Safa, managing the commute or finding transportation options is not difficult. The nearest metro station would Noor Bank Metro Station, it is 5 minutes away from the mid-point of the community. Business Bay Metro Station is slightly further away about 6 to 10 minutes away depending on which part of Al Safa you are in. There are also multiple bus stops in Al Safa 1 and around the neighbourhood of Al Safa 2. These pass through to connect you to major points and landmarks in Dubai and also link back to the metro stations. Also, several bus stations can be found in the neighbouring areas of Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah.
The residents living in apartments generally have parking spaces within the building or can rely on street parking. Similarly, the villas of Al Safa usually come with designated car parking spaces. Some villas even come with multiple car parking spaces and garages.

SUPERMARKETS IN AL SAFA
Al Safa is home to various popular supermarkets namely Carrefour Market, Spinneys and Choithrams. Apart from these premier supermarket chains, various smaller grocery stores are dotted across the area which caters to different needs of the residents.
The popular supermarket ‘Park and Shop’ is located in Al Safa Centre in Al Safa 1. Situated on the corner of Al Wasl Road, the supermarket is popular among the expat community for its pork section, this is separate from the rest of the supermarket and is only for non-muslim customers.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES IN AL SAFA
Al Safa boasts a generous number of mosques in the area, making the commute convenient for the Muslim community members. Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque and Ayesha Mosque are located within the area. Apart from these, the residents can also enjoy the option of visiting the other mosques in the neighbouring communities since the distance is quite short.
For the Christian members of the community, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is located in Al Safa 1. As for the residents belonging to Hindu and Sikh community; Mahamevnawa Buddhist Temple, Baba Temple and Gurdwara Temple are all easily accessible given their close proximity.
SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES IN AL SAFA
Parents living in Al Safa have many reputable options in terms of schools for their children. The area is regarded to have some of the best schools in Dubai especially since the schools in Jumeirah are so close by. Al Safa 1 is home to 3 schools that have been rated as 'outstanding' by the KHDA - the governmental body in charge of the quality of education in Dubai. There is Jumeirah Primary School and Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS), both of which offer the British curriculum from primary stages (FS1) to Year 6. From then you could enrol your children in Jumeirah College which offers the final years of schooling from Year 7 to Year 13. All 3 of these options are within walking distance to each other.
Emirates English Speaking School, Al Ittihad Private School, and Al Anwar Kindergarten School also add up to the list of a number of schools in the area.
As for higher education, The English College is a short drive away for the residents. Many other colleges and niche educational institutes are within close proximity of the area including Professional & Accountancy Centre, The College of Fashion & Design and Toni Malt Makeup Academy. The internationally accredited universities as part of Knowledge Village, near Media City, are 20 minutes away.

The community of Al Safa has got its residents covered when it comes to health services. Medcare Hospital is known to be a reputed hospital in Dubai, it is located within the community itself. MALLS IN AL SAFA
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Oasis Mall is just a few minutes away from the community. The mall has about 70 stores including the Japanese discount store Daiso, international supermarket chain Carrefour and home furnishing destination Home Centre. The mall also has multiple other retail, entertainment and dining options. Oasis Mall is the perfect shopping centre for residents who would prefer to visit a quieter mall.
Al Safa is a great place to live for shopping enthusiasts as two of the major malls of the emirate, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates are about 10 to 15 minutes away, depending on where you live.
Other niche stores that are present in the area are fishing equipment store Barracuda Fishing and Outdoors, book store Bookworm and pet store PetsPlus LLC. Catering to the lifestyle needs, stores like Thread Up Tailoring and Boutique, United Furniture, Trek Bicycle Store and various others can be found within close proximity of Al Safa.

The dining culture in Al Safa is quite appealing as the area boasts a variety of eateries. Ranging from fine-dining restaurants to fast food chains, there are various dining options in Al Safa including Chez Sushi, Pizza Express, Hadoota Masreya and Reem Al Bawadi.

Since Al Safa is situated a few minutes away from the coastline of Dubai, the residents have easy access to various beaches. Out of the numerous beaches; Kite Beach, Jumeirah Beach and Sunset Beach require the least amount of commute time for residents as they are just 7 to 8 minutes away depending on where you live.
