Documents required for visa renewal in Dubai
In order to renew your visa, you will need to submit:
- A transcript of the applicant’s passport. Ensure the passport has a minimum validity of six months
- A passport-size photo with white background

You will have to pay AED 600 during each time of renewal.
Dubai tourist visa extension grace period
Visa overstayers who couldn’t renew their tourist visa will have to pay AED 100 fine for each extra day they have overstayed. The number of days will be calculated from 10 days after the visa expiry date.
Exemption for tourist visa extension in Dubai
There is an exception to some of the tourists in Dubai. They are not obliged to follow the rule for the extension that others need to abide by. These include:
- residents of GCC countries
- special entry permits
- 96-hour permit for special missions

For how long a tourist visa remains valid?
A tourist visa can be issued for 30 or 90 days. You may opt either for single entry or multiple entries.
Can children get a free visit visa?
A UAE Cabinet passed a resolution in July 2018 that states, children below 18 years old can get a free tourist visa from 15th July to 15th September every year, provided they are accompanied by adults.
Can women below the age of 18 apply for a tourist visa?
Women under 18 years old can apply for a tourist visa, only if they are travelling with their parents.
Do airlines also offer visit visa in the UAE?
You may also apply for visit visa through airlines. Each of them has different conditions. However, the basic condition for them all is that you are flying with them.
- Etihad Airways offers single entry as well as multiple tourist visa, varying based on the number of days.
- Each of them can be extended twice for 30 days for AED 960.

My mother-in-law is staying in Abu Dhabi and she is having visit visa until 15-04-2020. Due to suspension of flights my aunty is unable to travel India.
As per the UAE latest rules, three months exemption on visit visa without exit UAE.

Hello! My mother’s visa is expiring today. I checked with a travel agency yesterday for renewal. They are charging 2150 DHS for a 90days visa. As per the announcement regarding the all UAE visa extension from 13th April, all visa types expiring from march 1 will be extended untill end of the year.
