Dubai has firmly established itself as a top global dining destination, with its vibrant culinary scene earning international acclaim. The city’s restaurants span a rich mix of cuisines and many have been honoured with Michelin stars. This year marks the fourth edition of the Michelin Guide Dubai, showcasing a diverse range of establishments, from elegant French bistros to upscale Chinese eateries. These celebrated spots are currently the talk of the town, making now the perfect time to explore what the 2025 guide has to offer.
ABOUT THE MICHELIN GUIDE
Michelin Guides are a series of guidebooks published by the French tyre company Michelin. Initiated in 1904, the guide awards up to three Michelin Stars to restaurants that excel in the quality of their food and service.
The guide covers various cities across North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe. Dubai is the 36th culinary destination on the Michelin Guide.
WHAT IS A MICHELIN STAR?
There are three types of Michelin Stars, with the 3rd being the highest. Each Star represents a certain standard of quality and experience that the restaurant offers. Here’s what these stars signify:
- One Michelin Star represents food worth stopping for
- Two Michelin Stars represent food worth taking a detour
- Three Michelin Stars represent food worth travelling for

MICHELIN GUIDE DUBAI 2025
Dubai’s remarkable diversity is reflected not only in its architectural marvels but also in its vibrant gastronomic scene. The announcement for the launch of the Dubai Michelin Guide was made at the Museum of the Future on 28th March 2022.
Michelin keeps much of its approach to awarding Stars under wraps. However, the Michelin inspectors in Dubai applied the same international standards to reward the restaurants as they do in other countries. Their long-standing five criteria for selection are as follows:
- Use of high-quality produce
- Mastery of culinary techniques and flavours
- Representation of the chef’s personality in the cuisine
- Value for money provided by the restaurant
- Consistency of excellent dining experience
The Michelin Guide Dubai 2025 highlights an impressive selection of Dubai restaurants with Michelin Stars. A total of 19 venues have earned stars—14 with one Michelin Star, three with two and two restaurants holding the coveted three Michelin Stars.
Over a dozen others have received Bib Gourmand recognition for offering great food at reasonable prices. The guide also honoured three restaurants with the Green Michelin Star for their sustainability efforts, while several chefs were celebrated with special awards.
Let’s find out who made the grade!
