The community is quiet and peaceful with many parks and playgrounds within and nearby. A few minutes away, there is the wetland and the crowded city of Dubai. At the Ras Al Khor Sanctuary, nature lovers and visitors can always admire the birds in their natural habitat.

The buildings are connected through paved roads and have a ground floor covered parking. Public parking spaces are also available for visitors. Since the area is far off from the crowded city of Dubai, it is less likely to experience traffic jams.

Due to the close connection to Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, several buses service the area to help the residents with their commute. Residents can catch buses: 55, 61, 63E, X23 from Ras Al Khor, Mubarak Trans bus stop.

The closest supermarket in Ras Al Khor is KP Mart supermarket, a 10-minute drive away. There are many other popular supermarkets in the area such as Carrefour Hypermarket and Shaklan supermarket in Al Jaddaf. There are several small grocery stores and mini-marts at a walking distance from the buildings.

There are many mosques in Ras Al Khor Dubai. Samari Masjid is in Samari Residency. Nad Al Sheba Mosque is one of the most popular mosques in the neighbourhood and only 10 minutes away.

Hindu residents can visit the Shiva and Krishna temples or the Gurudwara temple which is 11 minutes away in Bur Dubai.  Churches close to the neighbourhood, include St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Dubai City church, which are located near Dubai Healthcare City.

There are no schools within the community but there are plenty of schools in the neighbourhood. The City School International, Blue Bird Nursery and Nadd Al Hamar School are all close by. Further, Swiss International Scientific School is located across Dubai Creek that offers international education and challenging academics to the students.

Older students can get enrolled in Al Falah University or European University College which is a 15-minute drive from the area.

The nearest clinic is Aster Medical Clinic, a 10-minute drive on Ras Al Khor road. For a proper medical checkup, you can also visit Thumbay Clinic, a 13-minute drive from the area. Yoland Medical Center in Ras Al Khor is also a popular clinic.

There are no hospitals located within the area. The nearest one is in Nadd Al Hamar also known as Nadd Al Hamar Health Center. There are many other popular hospitals located in Dubai Healthcare City such as Mediclinic City Hospital, Emirates Specialty Hospital, and Magrabi Eye Hospital. They are all a 13-minute drive away.

Ras Al Khor is surrounded by the best neighbourhoods. To the north-west there is Dubai Festival City, a large residential, entertainment and business development in Dubai. It has numerous hotels, malls and entertainment sites including schools and many public services.

Ras Al Khor Industrial Area is located to the south where most residential buildings are found. In fact, most people prefer to rent apartments here. To the west exists the famous Dubai Creek and the wildlife sanctuary that is an interesting place for nature admirers. Nadd Al Hamar is another locality on the western side of Ras Al Khor which is a small industrial and residential community in Dubai.

Residents can find many shopping destinations within the area and nearby. There is Marhaba Mall on Ras Al Khor Road, at the border shared with Nad Al Hamar. This community mall features an Al Madina Hypermarket, a handful of restaurants and retail stores and Union National Bank branch.

Another mall in the area is the Dubai Festival City Mall, this massive mall features many unique stores and experiences. The mall is home to the only IKEA furniture store and Robinson’s department store in Dubai. Entertainment options consist of a Novo Cinemas, the outdoor water and light show called IMAGINE, Dhow rides on the Festival Bay and much more.

Other malls such as City Centre Deira, Al Ghurair Centre and Burjuman are under 20 minutes away.

The area has various dining options at different price points offering many cuisines. Popular restaurants in the Marhaba Mall consist of Lims Cafe, Zam Zam Mandi and Today’s Restaurant. Other restaurants in Ras Al Khor include Greens N Grills which serves healthy Iranian food, Puranmal which is an Indian restaurant famous for its sweet treats and Mahareb a Yemeni Mandi restaurant.

One can also visit the man casual dining restaurants in Dubai Festival City Mall just a short drive away. Fine-dining restaurants can be found in the hotels in the Dubai Festival City area.

Although the community itself is close to a wetland, residents can enjoy a beach day at one of the most popular beaches in Dubai, Jumeirah Public Beach. It is just a few minutes drive away from Ras Al Khor Dubai. Various other beaches such as the Sunset Beach and Kite Beach are also about 18 minutes away from the area.
