The Lakes, one of the Emirates Living projects by Emaar is divided into six residential communities. Deema is one of these sub-communities further separated into four clusters. While there aren’t any mosques within The Lakes at the moment, those in the neighbourhood are easily accessible. Masood Naqvi Mosque in Emirates Hills, Tiffany Mosque in JLT Cluster W and Greens Mosque near Deema 1 are approximately 11 minutes away.

Commuting to the Hindu temples in Bur Dubai may take around 30 minutes by car. Also, the biggest gurdwara in the Gulf region, Guru Nanak Darbar in Jebel Ali Village is around 20 minutes away. As for those looking to visit churches near Deema 1, the Seventh Day Adventist is the nearest option.

These include the Emirates International School Meadows offering the British curriculum and Regent International School, a project by Fortes Education following the EYFS and the National Curriculum of England. These schools are accessible in around 9 minutes while Dubai International Academy in Emirates Hills is around 10 to 11 minutes away. Residents who prefer Innoventure schools in Dubai can consider DIA, it offers the IB Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and Diplomas.

There are some medical facilities close by such as Mediclinic Meadows and American Medical Centre. These clinics and hospitals near Deema 1 are accessible in around 8 minutes by car. One of the top hospitals in the UAE, Saudi German Hospital is also close by.

Besides the other sub-clusters including Deema 2, 3 and 4, Deema 1 neighbours communities within The Lakes. It is built right next to Hattan, Forat and Zulal on First Al Khail Street. Other residential areas close to the community include Emirates Hills and The Greens.

The Lakes Club has some retail shops and a hypermarket. Whereas, for a complete shopping spree, one can go to the malls in the neighbouring localities. The Springs Souk in The Springs Dubai is also a popular option for those living in Emirates Living communities. Besides, one can head to Al Barsha Mall, located 11 minutes away.

Reform Social and Grill within The Lakes is the closest. It is the best place to hang out with friends. Some other restaurants at a short drive include Origins Social, Baldwin Restaurant and Café and The Grill Restaurant.

The shoreline of Dubai is a short drive away from here. Deema 1 residents can hit the JBR Beach for a fun-filled evening with family and friends. Besides watersports events, the beach has many facilities, cocktail bars and souvenir shops.

The Lakes Club, spanning 30,000 sq. ft. offers a wide range of activities for kids and adults alike. The more popular entertainment hub, Dubai Marina is around 10 to 12 minutes away from the area where you can take cruise trips at The Yellow Boat. Moreover, living in Deema 1 would be a treat for golfers as they can tee off at the Emirates Golf Club.
