The Model School Abu Dhabi, also known as New Indian Model School Abu Dhabi, is a part of the NIMS Group of schools. The school first opened its door in 1987 as a branch of the New Indian Model School Dubai. Currently, the school educates over 5,000 students, predominantly Indian, alongside students from other nationalities such as Pakistani and Bangladeshi backgrounds.

Like its sister schools, it follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) through to Grade 12. In addition, students in Grade 8 have the option to switch to the Kerala Board, which is also offered until Grade 12.
