COVID-19 Protocols

Rosary Private School has adopted a set of protocols issued by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) regarding the school reopening amid COVID-19 pandemic. SPEA has collaborated with schools, parents and other stakeholders to devise a plan that ensures a safe learning environment to students. The protocols include the following:

SPEA offers a flexible plan for schools to re-open based on the following three options:

  • Continue distance learning at the start of the academic year
  • Combination of distance learning and face-to-face on-site learning with 50% of the workforce at the campus
  • Fully re-opening the school with 100% on-site learning

Additionally, SPEA requested schools to gradually re-open until they reach the capacity to teach all students at the campus with proper safety and health standards. The following protocols must be followed by the schools in Sharjah to offer on-site learning:

  • Students, teacher and staff members will need to get a negative test result for COVID-19.
  • Each day, the school must check the temperature of students and staff before entering the school bus and school premises.
  • Schools must reduce school bus capacity to maintain social distance.
  • Students and teachers practise social distancing at the campus.
  • Staff and students above six years old must wear a mask
  • Schools must frequently sanitise all their facilities.
  • They must have an isolation room for those suspected with COVID-19.

Schools should offer a complete distance-learning programme to parents sceptical of sending their kids to school.
