Halwan Suburb is a cluster of seven suburbs grouped together in central Sharjah. The areas include Al Yarmook, Al Fayha, Al Ramla East, Al Ghubaiba, Dasman, Samnan and Al Abar. Each area is unique, for example, Al Yarmook is home to churches. Al Ghubaiba is a villa only vicinity and Al Abar is known for its heritage as it is also home to two museums and a library.

There are plenty of mosques in Halwan Suburb including Abu Mas’uod Al Ansari Mosque in Al Yarmook, Al Sahaba Mosque in Samnan and Omair Ibn Alhamam Mosque in Al Ghubaiba. Muslim residents will find at least two mosques per neighbourhood.
