Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej is the third and the most recent addition to the list of Al Mawakeb Schools by Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) group. Though named as Al Khawaneej, the school is actually located in Al Mizhar, a villa community close to the Dubai – Sharjah border.

Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej opened in September 2018 and now offers classes from Pre-KG until Grade12. The school follows the American curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), New Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the California State Standards.

To ensure that students become familiar with the culture and heritage of the UAE, the school has adopted the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum for Arabic, Islamic Education, Social Studies and Moral Education.

Middle School and High School

Being an inclusive school, Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej admission process is based on merit where children from a diverse group are welcomed. Students are served on a first-come-first-serve basis. The registration process starts with filling in the registration booking form and submitting it along with the following mandatory documents.

  • Dubai need to submit the original Transfer Certificate (attested) and transcript from the previous school
  • Other emirates need to submit the original Transfer Certificate and transcript from the previous school duly attested from the appropriate Educational Zone
  • Outside the UAE need to submit the original Transfer Certificate and transcript letter from the previous school (either in Arabic or English) duly attested by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE Embassy in the country of origin

Once the above steps are carried out, the school will invite your child for a round of assessment and an interview session. Meanwhile, parents can tour the school and discuss their queries with the teachers or the admissions department.

Students who successfully clear the entrance exam will be offered a place in the school provided a seat is available. To accept the offer parents must pay a non-refundable and non-transferable registration deposit of 10% of the annual school that will be adjusted against the first term’s fee within the time frame specified by the school.

Failure to do so will result in the school offering the seat to another candidate and your child will be placed on a waiting list.

The KHDA approved fee structure of Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej for the academic year 2023-24 falls in the premium range but that is justifiable considering top-notch facilities available to students.

Sibling Discount

Sibling discounts are available to parents who have children enrolled in Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej in Al Mizhar. The school provides an AED 700 discount on tuition fee for all siblings.

Students from Grade 7 to Grade 12 attaining outstanding academic performance will be eligible for the scholarship. All successful candidates receive a range of discounts on their tuition fees.

This scholarship facility is available for all students of Al Mawakeb enrolled in the three branches. Students who show outstanding performance in academic and non-academic fields are awarded either a Letter of Achievement or partial scholarship.

There is an on-site canteen facility and Al Mawakeb Khawaneej ensures that only fresh products and ingredients are used to prepare hot and cold meals for students. The cafeteria is kept clean to highlight the importance of hygiene.

The school strictly prohibits unhealthy lunches such as fizzy drinks, crisps, sweets, chocolates and others. Parents who are sending lunch from home must strictly follow the rules.

Al Mawakeb School Al Khawaneej provides transportation service. To start using this service, you need to submit a transportation form. If the buses cover your area or route, only then you will be able to benefit from the service.

Any change in address must be conveyed to the transportation department at least three working days in advance so the school can respond accordingly.
