Crown Private School follows all covid-prevention SOPs as directed by the UAE Ministry of Education. The school has also created a COVID-19 Task Force that is responsible for implementing all the preventive measures.

  • All students are requested to download the Al Hosn app
  • It is mandatory to submit an online COVID-19 test report before joining the school. Students will send the result of the COVID-19 test to the class teacher via class Dojo.
  • Students should also submit a travel declaration form before joining the school.
  • All students must wear a mask inside the school premises. If the student cannot wear a mask for a medical reason, parents need to submit a certificate of exemption.
  • KG students are exempted from wearing a mask.
  • Students are encouraged to follow a frequent hand washing routine.
  • Students must bring a healthy snack for lunch and a water bottle labelled with their name. Water dispensers are not placed inside the school as a precautionary measure.
  • The school canteen also provides packed lunch.
  • Students must bring two extra masks.
  • School bags are kept outside the classrooms in the morning as they are to be sanitised regularly.
  • Students must bring their own devices, including laptops and tablets, as sharing of learning resources is prohibited.
  • All notebooks and textbooks are kept at the school. Homework should be completed using distance learning platforms.
  • Group activities are dismissed until further notice.
  • Parent-teacher meetings will be held online via Zoom. Teachers will answer all queries over class Dojo.
  • A thermal camera is placed at the entry and exit points for checking the body temperature of those entering and leaving the school building.
  • The school transport will operate at a 50% capacity.
  • Everybody has to go through a temperature check before entering the school bus.
  • Hand sanitisers are also placed at various locations on the campus.
  • All classrooms are sanitised regularly.
  • All sanitisation products are approved by health authorities and are of the highest standards.
  • Students are only allowed to sit on their designated chairs. All desks and chairs are also sanitised regularly.
  • Floor marking is also placed on maintaining a 1.5-meter distance.
  • Grade 1 to 9 classrooms can only accommodate 15 students per class to ensure social distancing.
  • The maximum number of students for KG classrooms is 12 students per class.
  • Frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs and tabletops are sanitised frequently during the day.
  • All students are given a wristband with a social distancing alert tag or ID card social distancing tag connected to the ‘track and trace’ software system. It is, therefore, mandatory for all students to wear the tag throughout the day. The alert tags will vibrate when students move closer than 1.5 meters in another student or adult direction. This is to ensure that proper social distancing is maintained for the health and safety of both students and staff.
  • During the first week, the school will implement facial identification in the Thermal Imaging Software.
  • The prayer room is kept open for students of Grade 4 to Grade 9. However, students should bring their prayer mat from home.
  • The play area is closed. KG students can play outside after the morning break.

Kindergarten is divided into two levels as per the UK’s EYFS programme. KG 1 is suitable for students aged 4 years and KG 2 is suited for students aged 5 years. Students at this stage participate independently in learning activities. The primary goal during KG is to make students recognise letters, numbers, shapes and patterns. Students are taught to read, write and understand fundamental operations and logical reasoning.

Children are introduced to iPads and Tabs to explore and develop their inquiry and research skills. Age-appropriate apps and subjects are part of the curriculum. By the end of KG 2, students can read and spell simple words and use modern technology.

How to apply to Crown Private School?

Parents interested in Crown Private School admissions can follow three simple steps to get their child registered.

Step 1: The school requests parents to visit the campus and fill the registration form.

Step 2: Once the form is filled and submitted, the school will send an appointment letter for the assessment.

  • For KG-1 & KG-2 the entrance exam will be a group assessment.
  • For Grade 1 and above, the entrance assessment will test knowledge in core subjects: Mathematics, Arabic and English. An interview will also be conducted at this stage.

The result of this assessment will determine the placement of the student. The school formally informs the parents about the decision.

Step 3: When the applicant successfully gets admission, he/she will be invited to complete the remaining registration process.

Parents need to submit mandatory documents along with the registration form:

  • Student’s Emirates ID card and a photocopy
  • Original Emirates ID card and a photocopy of both parents
  • Recent passport size photograph of the student
  • Student’s passport copy with valid residency visa (for expats only)
  • Photocopy of birth certificate
  • Family book (for UAE nationals only)
  • Copy of vaccination card
  • Continuing study letter from the previous school or nursery with student SIS No. if the student was registered in any school before.
  • Completed Student Information form from the last school.
  • For transfers within the UAE, the student’s final report card and Transfer Certificate, including the SIS number of the student from his/her previous school must be stamped by the Education Zone
  • For schools outside the UAE, a student’s final report card and Transfer Certificate must be attested by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Consulate in the country where the school is located.
