• Classrooms will be set up to accommodate reduced capacity. Student desks will be set at a safe distance (1 meter); classrooms will use physical markings to ensure desks remain in the correct locations.
• Lockers are permitted as long as physical distancing measures are not compromised. A locker should be designated to a specific student (alternated and not shared). 
• Certain play sections/areas should be closed (i.e. dress up sections, indoor soft play areas, reading corners with soft furniture). Open spaces should include furniture and equipment that is easy to clean.
• Students below six years (below Grade 1) are not required to wear masks. 
•  Students of Grade 1 and above, teachers and school staff members are required to bring a minimum of two (2) masks to school each day.
• Buses may run at full capacity but with safety measures in place. 
• Seating arrangements will be marked out in canteen areas; no students will be permitted to sit directly adjacent or next to one another. A physical distance of 2 meters should be kept in canteen areas.
• Schools can operate a pre-selected and pre-packed lunch service, with no live cooking taking place at school. 
• School events, extracurricular activities, after-school clubs and activities are allowed with approved protocols in place.

High School Curriculum

In the high-school stage, the school follows the US Common Core State Standards and College Readiness Standards for its syllabus. Each student has to complete at least 21 academic credit hours in Science, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, PE and ICT. They also need to meet MOE requirements in Arabic and Islamic Education to be eligible for the high school diploma.

A student must secure at least 60% marks in all the subjects mentioned above to complete the credits. The Ministry of Education has mandated schools to offer distance learning provisions in addition to in-class learning, especially in the first phase of reopening. Distance learning format might differ from school to school and term to term. Still, students opting for this model will be kept updated on the curriculum followed.

In coordination with Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management team in Sharjah has allowed all private schools in the emirate to resume 100% in-class learning from October 31. However, sick students can get an exemption; they must submit a relevant health certificate to continue with remote learning.

The annual charges are split into three instalments. The deadline for these instalments are:

• Second Term – 30th November
• Third Term – 28th February

The school offers a 3% discount on the tuition fee of the second child and a 5% discount on the tuition fee of the youngest child if a parent has enrolled three or more children.

Al Resalah American International School does not have any scholarship programme right now.

The school has cafeterias where students and staff can purchase hot and cold food items at affordable prices. All the food items are rich in nutrition and prepared in a hygienic environment. Al Resalah American School (RAIS) Sharjah is a day-only school. It does not offer any boarding or accommodation facilities to students. Those unable to reach school on time can opt for the school transport service that is reliable and efficient. Al Resalah American International School offers field trips to students throughout the year. It organises international and national trips for students. One of the most anticipated field trips at the school is Umrah Trip. On this trip, Muslim students are sent to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
