The old-world charm of drive-in cinemas is back in Abu Dhabi! The capital city is geared up for the launch of Abu Dhabi’s first drive-in cinema. Residents can now enjoy watching movies under the stars while ensuring social distancing.
Reel Cinemas by Emaar has teamed up with Brag Events to launch this drive-in cinema in Abu Dhabi. Here’s a quick guide to the Yas Drive-in Cinema by Reel at the Yas Marina Circuit.
OPENING DATE
The Yas Marina Circuit will be home to the Yas Drive-in Cinema starting from 9th July 2020. Ardent cinephiles can now catch up on the latest flicks from the comfort of their cars without compromising on one’s safety.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Yas Drive in Cinema Abu Dhabi offers a safe and comfortable experience for movie-goers looking to enjoy a movie night with friends or family. Every aspect of the movie-watching experience at Yas Drive in Cinema is meticulously planned and managed.
The staff ensures that all guests are adhering to strict government directives for social distancing and safety. Compliance with the rules and regulations set by the cinema management is also mandatory for everyone.
Reel Cinemas and Yas Marina Circuit aims to make the experience as contactless as possible. You can scan your ticket directly from your mobile device upon arrival and use the East Gate to reach the Main Oasis parking lot. Traffic marshals will be present to assist you to find a perfect spot according to the size of your vehicle. The film soundtrack is available on a dedicated radio channel so you won’t need to step out of the vehicle or roll down the windows to enjoy the movie. Details and instructions to tune into the radio channel will be provided.
Snacking and movies go hand in hand! If you feel hungry and want to snack on some delicious popcorn or other snacks and beverages, you can simply alert the staff using your vehicle’s hazard lights. A dedicated staff member will be there to assist you. Popcorn for two, water, beverages and chocolate are included in the ticket price but you can always order more!
WHAT IS THE TICKET PRICE FOR THE YAS DRIVE IN CINEMA ABU DHABI?
The tickets of this drive-in cinema in Abu Dhabi is AED 170 for one car with a maximum of two people. The Yas drive-in cinema cost also includes a food and beverage combo for two that includes popcorn, chocolate, water and soft drinks. Tickets can be booked online through the Yas Drive-in Cinema website or via the mobile app.
MOVIE SCHEDULE FOR YAS DRIVE IN CINEMA
The Yas Drive-in Cinema in Abu Dhabi will screen three films each week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with the showtime starting at 8:00 pm. Here’s the complete Yas Drive-in Cinema movie schedule for the upcoming two weeks:
