AL WASL FOOTBALL CLUB
Al Wasl Club, also referred to as Al Wasl SC and nicknamed The Cheetahs is another one of the top football clubs in Dubai. Like Al Nasr FC, it competes in the prestigious UAE Football League. The club dates back to 1960 when it was founded by Al Zamalek Club. It won its first championship in 1966, beating Al Shabaab in the final of the Canada Dry Company Cup. The club’s headquarters is Za’abeel Stadium.
The club grew in 1974 when Al Shula and Al Orouba merged into Al Wasl SC. The club’s standing in the region was reinforced in 2010 when the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) named it “Club of the Century in the UAE.”

SHABAB AL-AHLI CLUB
Shabab Al-Ahli Club, also known as The Red Knights, is one of the professional football clubs in Dubai. It was founded in 1958 and took its current form in 2017 when Dubai CSC merged with Al Shabab to become what is now Shabab Al-Ahli FC. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoun currently serves as its president.
