The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP)
Dubai is at the heart of Pinktober, the Friends of Cancer Patients’ nationwide campaign for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Running from October 1 to 31, 2025, the initiative offers free breast cancer screenings and a series of community events to stress the importance of early detection.
BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUPS
AL JALILA FOUNDATION
Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, the Al Jalila Foundation is a non-profit organisation that fosters breast cancer research, diagnosis and treatment.
Every year, the Al Jalila Foundation launches a campaign toolkit for any brand or organisation that wants to join the foundation to host Breast Cancer Awareness Activities in Dubai.
Those who wish to organise such events must obtain a fundraising licence from the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) or submit relevant documents to the foundation, allowing it to initiate a request on their behalf. PINK RIBBON CRAFTERS
Operating since 2015, Pink Ribbon Crafters (also known as Pink Ribbon) is a breast cancer support initiative in Dubai. Pink Ribbon sells handmade products in exchange for donations. They donate all sales proceeds to help women with limited financial resources or fund breast cancer clinical research.
They initiated this donation drive in partnership with Brest Friends – Al Jalila Foundation in the UAE. So far, they have raised more than AED 665k. You can visit their website to purchase their products or make a direct donation.

FUND RAISERS
IGNITE Pink is Punk
One of Dubai’s most popular community fundraisers, IGNITE Pink is Punk, is back this October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with three exciting, family-friendly events.
Now in its 17th year, the initiative has become a cherished tradition, uniting residents to stay active while raising funds for breast cancer research and patient care. Since its launch in 2008, the campaign has raised over AED 860k, with all proceeds from 2025 going directly to the Al Jalila Foundation.
