Al Nakheel is a suburban district in Ras Al Khaimah that enjoys a waterfront location near Ras Al Khaimah Harbour. The community mainly consists of low-rise residential buildings that offer small apartments. Its residential side is well-connected to main roads and is home to Lulu Centre and Safeer Market. Al Nakheel is also home to Naeem Mall.

Al Nakheel sits right next to RAK Harbour so one can expect a peaceful neighbourhood. However, the community is also close to a network of roads, including the major highway Al Manama – RAK Road (E11), which allows easy access to the rest of the emirates. Obaid Khalifa Al Jaber Mosque is located in the centre of this community. The mosque features separate prayer areas for men and women. Besides other local mosques, some popular mosques in Al Nakheel include Mohammed khalifa Al Maheri Mosque, Muhammed Almahiri Mosque, Al Qasimi Grand Mosque and Hessa Al Bakr Mosque.

St Mary’s Orthodox Church Nakheel is a Christian church that lies just across Al Uraibi Street. St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Al Nakheel is also located on the same drive. Both of these churches are accessible in 5-minutes via car.

Residents will find a few nursery options in the neighbourhood. These are Little Oxford Nursery, Lavenders Nursery & Day Care and Little Dream Nursery.

This multi-speciality hospital has a team of general surgeons, dermatologists, gynaecologists, paediatrics and general practitioners to cater for the patients.

Thumbay Clinic Ras Al Khaimah near DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is just a 6-minute drive, which offers services like general surgery, obstetrics, radiology and other services. Many pharmacies are also located within the area, such as Corniche Pharmacy, Al Nakheel Pharmacy and Al Suwaidi Pharmacy.

Situated close to the waterfront area of Dafan Al Nakheel, the community is set amidst many waterfront districts of Ras Al Khaimah. It shares a border with Al Seer, Ras Al Khaimah Harbour, Seih Al Hudaiba and Al Uraibi.

Manar Mall is located just a drive across Al Muntasir Road. This waterfront retail destination is a favourite spot for locals and tourists that offers a wide collection of international brands, a Carrefour, a food court with plenty of dining options and some entertainment spots and a play area for kids. Manar Mall is considered one of the top malls in Ras Al Khaimah. Other popular malls in Al Nakheel include Naeem Mall and Nesto Center.

Al Nakheel is famous for its top cafes and coffee shops in RAK where visitors can enjoy lip-smacking desserts and breakfast items in a cosy ambience. Some popular ones are Caribou Coffee and Icons Coffee Couture.

There is also a 3-week UAE Awafi Festival held in RAK Desert where visitors can enjoy many thrilling activities including sand-dune racing, games and activities for children, music and dancing festivities and handicraft shops. Al Nakheel mainly consists of apartment buildings. It can be a bit of a deal-breaker for those of you who are looking for private villas or townhouses. The town is a more feasible option for singles, couples or small families as the apartments for rent in Al Nakheel come in just studio, 1 to 3-bed divisions. Mostly available for rent these properties are rarely on sale.
