Capital Centre is a major mixed-use development on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi near Al Gurm. It lies close to Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Capital Centre is largely packed with commercial properties, especially hotels. The district is known for housing Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and Capital Gate Tower. Capital Centre was previously occupied by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre with the rest of the area utilised as parking bays. The area is now a mixed-use development with many hotels, ministries and other commercial properties. It is well-known among business travellers and holidaymakers. Centro Capital Centre is a popular hotel next to Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The community is not densely populated and is away from the core city-centric areas of Abu Dhabi.

Capital Gate Tower developed by ADNEC group, which is also known as Leaning Tower is famous for its unique construction. It covers 170,000 sq. ft. of space and stands over 160 metres tall. This 35-storey skyscraper is one of the tallest buildings in the city. This tower is also the focal point of the Capital Centre. Capital Gate Tower is recognised by Guinness World Records as “farthest manmade leaning building of the world”.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN CAPITAL CENTRE
Capital Centre Abu Dhabi is not close to the city centre which makes it a little less connected with the city in terms of public buses. Bus A1 and 40 can take one to ADNEC/Street 3 bus stop from where it is a 5-minute walk to Capital Centre. Travelling through a private car or taxi is a more convenient option.

SUPERMARKETS IN CAPITAL CENTRE
There are two supermarkets in Capital Centre; Carrefour and Zoom. There is a branch of Carrefour supermarkets in Abu Dhabi, a major French supermarket chain from where you can shop for grocery. Zoom is a leading convenience store in the UAE, it also offers home delivery through its online portal.
Other options in the neighbouring area include SPAR Supermarket near Zayed Sports City, Circle K, Spinneys, Carrefour City and Rich & Fresh Supermarket in the residential area of Al Aman. All these are about 8 minutes away from the Capital Centre.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES IN CAPITAL CENTRE
There are churches less than 10 kilometres away. The nearest one is St. Joseph Cathedral in Al Mushrif which is at an 8-minute drive. There are no schools in Capital Centre, but there are some less than 8km away in neighbouring areas. Towards the west is Al Mushrif where Kids Academy Nursery, Bright Beginning Nursery and Al Manhal International Private School are established.
Al Manhal International Private School follows the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) curriculum for all subjects. American International School is less than 3km away in Al Aman and it follows the American curriculum.
Rabdan Academy is the nearest higher education option accessible at an 8-minute drive.

MALLS NEAR CAPITAL CENTRE
Al Seef Village Mall is 11 minutes away from the area. It is a uniquely built mall with a variety of retail, dining and leisure spots. Tucked behind Al Seef Village Mall is The Walk where there are a number of restaurants and salons, which is a part of the open street market.
Mushrif Mall Abu Dhabi is 10 minutes away, and it provides a nice blend of shopping, dining and leisure options. It has three levels and is spread over 56,000 square metres. There is a Lulu Hypermarket, over 200 retail stores and a large food court in the mall.

One can find an array of restaurants in Capital Centre. Towards 33rd Street is Kurkura Restaurant and Fresh & Light Restaurant. Kukura Restaurant is a Japanese eatery while Fresh & Light Restaurant is a fast-food restaurant that serves salads and burgers. Those looking for cafés can find Costa Coffee and Starbucks on the premises towards the Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street.

BEACHES NEAR CAPITAL CENTRE
One advantage of living in the Capital Centre is quick access to the beach as the area is close to the Arabian Gulf. The nearest one is Al Qurm Beach at a 9-minute drive. At an 11-minute drive is Al Bateen Beach. This beach overlooks Hudayriat Island and has been awarded the Blue Flag certification by Emirates Wildlife Authority.
