ABOUT AL SALAM STREET
Al Salam Street which is also known as Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street is one of the main roads and a prime location in the capital of the UAE. It is filled with many residential and commercial units as it runs along many key areas of Abu Dhabi. Al Salam Street was upgraded in a campaign by the Abu Dhabi Municipality to improve the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Municipality prioritised the Salam Street tunnel to facilitate the traffic flow throughout the city.

The area is also comprised of a villa community, Bloom Gardens, that features luxury houses. Being a commercial hub, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street has various options for people looking to rent offices in Abu Dhabi. However, the number of residential choices are more commonly found. The area is subdivided into three sub-communities including Bloom Gardens, Salam HQ and Mansour Tower. Bloom Gardens is famous for its residential options including villas, townhouses and apartments. On the contrary, Salam HQ is a commercial area with offices for rent where Mansour Tower is located.

Villas for sale in Bloom Gardens can be purchased from AED 3.3M to AED 7M. These range from 3-bed to 5-bed houses. All the villas have premium amenities which makes Al Salam Street an ideal location to live in. However, expats cannot buy property in this area as it is only open to UAE Nationals.
Coming towards townhouses on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, they are available for both rent and sale. Bloom Gardens is among the most famous area on Al Salam Street which offers many townhouses for sale and rent. A 3-bedroom townhouse for rent in Bloom Gardens ranges from AED 185k to AED 215k. The larger 5-bed townhouse in Bloom Gardens costs AED 232k on average, annually.
A 3-bedroom townhouse for sale in Bloom Gardens costs an average of AED 3M. The 5-bed townhouse costs AED 4.4M on average for sale. The townhouses come with similar amenities as the villas, such as house help quarters, a closed kitchen, a guest room and a separate living and dining area.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SPACES ON AL SALAM STREET
Within the residential units, townhouses and villas come with multiple covered parking spaces. Residents in the apartment buildings also have easy access to parking lots of the area. As it is a busy commercial and residential street, there are multiple parking lots in the vicinity.
After the completion of the Abu Dhabi Municipality’s tunnel project, the area faces less of a traffic surge.

Al Salam Street is considered a prime part of the city centre, so its importance cannot be overlooked. From schools to healthcare centres, there is everything within the reach of residents. Every basic necessity is at an arm’s length from Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street such as grocery stores, landscaped recreational areas, gyms and malls.
CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES ON AL SALAM STREET
Al Salam Street is a busy highway and there are mosques at regular intervals. Alzfranh Mosque, Omeir Bin Al Hamam Mosque, Saeed Saeed Bin Ali Mosque and Mosque of Juma Hasan Zaabi are hardly an 8-minute drive away from each other and these all are situated within the vicinity.
To cater to the religious needs of Christians, there are many churches near Al Salam Street in the Al Mushrif community. St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Evangelical Community Church and more are just 10 minutes away from the residential blocks of Al Salam Street.
Currently, there are no temples in Abu Dhabi, but there is an off-plan project for a temple that when completed in 2021 will be roughly 30 minutes away from the community. In the meantime, residents will have to travel to the emirate of Dubai to visit the Shiva and Krishna temples in the Bur Dubai area which is an hour and a half away. Sikh residents can head to the Mussafah district to visit the New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi.

Al Salam Street is one of the most populated areas of Abu Dhabi. For families who want to settle in a new area, nearby educational facilities are always in their top concerns. Nurseries along Al Salam Street are Royal Palace Nursery, Little Garden Nursery, Rosa Nursery, Mind Champ Nursery and more.
There are various schools near Al Salam Street to fulfil academic needs. The most notable, however, is Brighton College, it is located near the Bloom Gardens community. Brighton College offers the British curriculum from the Foundation Stage 1 (FS1) to Year 13. Another option near Bloom Gardens in Al Zahraa is Emirates Private School. It is a unique school that offers the British, American and Ministry of Education approved UAE curriculum. Another school near Al Salam Street is the Abu Dhabi Indian School which is one of the few schools that offers the Indian curriculum, while Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Pakistani School is affiliated with Pakistan’s federal board.
Higher education options include UAE Academy, Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) and Khalifa University. There are many other options nearby Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street such as University of Strathclyde Business School, Swiss Business School (SBS), Abu Dhabi Men's College - Higher Colleges Of Technology (HCT) and more.
SUPERMARKETS NEAR AL SALAM STREET
Residents can find many marts and supermarkets near Al Salam Street. In fact, the neighbourhood was among the first few areas of Abu Dhabi that had small marts in the community. The giant retail stores that have opened in the last few years include Lulu Hypermarket which is almost a 12 minutes drive away and Alam Supermarket which lies at a 10-minute distance.
The Bloom Gardens community contains a Carrefour Market, ZOOM, Metro Market and a YUM - Your Urban Market which is a supermarket that specialises in organic healthy produce. Also, close by is the Waitrose supermarket in the Eastern Mangroves district.
HOSPITALS AND CLINICS NEAR AL SALAM STREET
Al Salam Street is close to the Al Bateen Executive Airport which is for private jets only. It is also close to the well-known media zone, Twofour54 Abu Dhabi, which houses over 400 media and entertainment companies.
In December 2012, The Government of Abu Dhabi built a long tunnel on Al Salam Street which is one of the longest tunnels in the Middle East. This tunnel has minimised the travel time to reach Mina Street from Sheikh Zayed Bridge. The underpass can accommodate 8,000 vehicles in each direction. There are also two other underpasses in Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street which connects travellers to Al Reem Island and Hazza Bin Zayed Road.

MALLS NEAR AL SALAM STREET
Malls are the ultimate entertainment sources in a country like the UAE. They have something for everyone from amusement spaces, kid-friendly areas, hundreds of retail stores, various eateries to cinemas and more.
A landmark for Abu Dhabi and one of the best malls in the capital is Al Wahda Mall. This mall contains over 350 stores, a Lulu Hypermarket, Al Wahdah Cinema and a Gold’s Gym. It provides a complete shopping experience for visitors of all ages.
A different type of mall near Al Salam Street is the Eastern Mangroves Promenade. This mall is connected to the Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa by Anantara. You can find a total of 11 restaurants, a Waitrose supermarket and a handful of retail stores. There are even two beauty salons available here, Nail Spa and Marquee Hair Salon. A few entertainment activities in the mall include kayaking, riding a doughnut boat and renting a yacht.
Located right next to the Bloom Gardens community residents can find the Al Seef Village Mall. It houses a wide range of casual dining restaurants and retail stores. There is a Carrefour Market for weekly grocery runs, a Funville amusement park for children and a Fitness First gym. Just behind Al Seef Mall is The Walk, it is a walkway strip that is filled with food and beverage outlets and an outdoor Art Gallery showcasing local artists. There is also the Al Seef Library which is part of The Walk, the library was built in collaboration with Al Seef and the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. The library hosts events such as book signings, review gatherings and other literary events.
RESTAURANTS NEAR AL SALAM STREET
Many of the restaurants near Al Salam Street are located in the nearby malls. The Al Seef Mall is home to CaliBurger, an American diner style restaurant, Doner and Gyros a restaurant offering a fusion of Greek and Turkish food and the French eatery La Brioche and more. The Walk has more offerings such as Chota Restaurant, which offers Indian food, Hooked which is known for its seafood dishes and Chocolate Lab, a sinful delight.
Fine dining establishments can be found in the Eastern Mangroves Promenade, such as BOA Steakhouse and the Lebanese restaurant Flooka. The Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa by Anantara offers the Thai restaurant Pachaylen, offering Middle Eastern cuisine. Another popular option is the Dining by Design restaurant. It offers a secluded environment as it can be reached by a special elevator which takes diners up to the private rooftop terrace. Nightlife options in the hotel include the Impressions rooftop bar and The Pool Deck.
BEACHES NEAR AL SALAM STREET
Close to one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular beach, residents of Al Salam Street can visit Corniche Beach. It is a public beach divided into three parts, Al Sahil Beach (Gate 1) for singles, Gate 2 for families and Gate 3 which is for families as well but is themed with many attractions for young children.
Another beach near Al Salam Street is the Bayshore Beach Club, which is at a 17 minutes drive from Al Salam Street and is a part of the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi. This beach club is surrounded by palm trees and the swim-up bar along with private cabanas make it a perfect weekend destination.

Living in a place like Al Salam Street, every leisure activity and landmark becomes easily accessible. The closest located landmark is Emirates Palace which is 13 km away.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, FITNESS AND BEAUTY
Within the residential borders, there are gyms and parks. Just across the road is the lush green space of Eastern Mangroves Park. Khalifa Park is adjacent to the area which is a great destination to explore the serene natural environments. The neighbouring area, Corniche Road is almost 8 km long and includes pedestrian passageways, cafes and a separate cycling area.
Considering the large population of the area, there are numerous gyms in the locality. Weiders Gym, Go Fitness Gym, Gold’s Gym and Power Station Gym are a few closely situated gyms near Al Salam Street.
The popular spas and salons in the area include Picasso Gents Care Centre, Golden Touch Spa and Cosi Bella Ladies Salon.
