ABOUT AL MURABAA
Al Ain, the fourth-biggest city in the UAE, is also known as the “Garden City” because of its greenery, parks and tree-lined roads. Nestled in the centre of this beautiful city lies Al Murabaa area, which is named after the famous Al Murabaa Fort build in 1948 by His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Al Murabaa is a city-centric area in Al Ain with properties mostly available for rent. It is considered as the business centre of the city. The Oman border lies to the north of the area. It is a densely populated district with a mix of renovated and old villas. One also gets to see the traditional Emirati forts and cannons in the district.

Al Sheikha Salama Masjid bus stop is at a 5-minute drive and bus E 201 services this bus stop. For commuting to other emirates, the Central Bus Station of Al Ain is 6 minutes away from the area.

SUPERMARKETS IN AL MURABAA
Living in Al Murabaa is quite convenient and there are many supermarkets in Al Murabaa where residents can head out for grocery shopping. Dawar Al Saah, Al Sourah Supermarket and Mohammed Akter Supermarket are located in the centre of the community. For larger hauls, residents can visit the Carrefour hypermarket in Al Ain Mall.

There are many mosques in Al Murabaa. Al Murabba Mosque and Al Miqdad Ibn al Aswad Mosque are located toward the east. Sayyida Shamsa Bint Ahmed Al Suwaidi Mosque is near Al Ain Mall. Other mosques in the area include Kuwaitat Masjid and Abdullah Al Zarouni Mosque.
Some churches are in the nearby area of Al Jahili include Al Ain Evangelical Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church Al Ain and Afrikaanse Gemeente Church. The Hindu residents will have to travel to the emirate of Dubai to visit the Shiva and Krishna Mandirs.

People who are living in the district can find several schools in Al Murabaa to choose from. Primary and nursery schools nearby include Government Primary School For Girls, Little Miracles Nursery, Headstart Nursery and Golden Bell Nursery.
Secondary schools are also located close to the area, these include Future International School, which follows the American curriculum; International Private School that teaches the curriculum planned by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Al Ain Academy offering the British curriculum.

Higher education options in the neighbourhood include some of the top universities in Al Ain. MALLS IN AL MURABAA
Al Ain Mall is one of the best malls in Al Ain and also the closest premier shopping and leisure destination for the residents of Al Murabaa. It was opened in 2001 and is one of the most popular malls in the city. This mall occupies over 2.5 million sq. ft. of space and showcases 350 world-renowned shops and 60 restaurants and cafes. Finding a parking space is easy too as it has 3,000 covered parking spaces spread across three levels.

Al Ain is known for its greenery and nature-centric theme so finding a beach here is near to impossible. Yas Beach is considered as one of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi.

Al Murabba Fort is a historic and cultural landmark in the area, which was built in 1948 and is marked in the centre of the city. Al Murabaa Heritage Festival honours the culture and tradition of the UAE. It also honours the importance of Al Murabba Fort. Several activities are held to entertain and educate citizens. Police car displays, a horse parade, there is even a show with the police band and the K9 dog squad part of the event.

Al Murabaa is a metropolitan, green area in Al Ain which offers a mix of traditional and modern properties. However, there are not many water-centric places in the neighbourhood, so enjoy a beach day one will have to head down towards other emirates.
