Al Gharb occupies a central location. Its various sub-communities are close to the main road network; therefore, the daily commute is easy. The streets are dotted by shops, restaurants, mosques and residential buildings. Whereas, some areas also feature independent villas. Comparatively, it is a bustling neighbourhood with basic amenities at an arm’s length.

As for the residential side, there are mostly apartment buildings in Al Gharb. One may find a few villas but these are already occupied. Brand new construction includes studio to 2-bedroom flats. Some projects are mixed-use and feature retail spaces and shops on the ground floor.
The covered area of a studio flat ranges from 290 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft. while that of a 1-bedroom apartment is 700 sq. ft. Moreover, the covered area of a standard 2 BHK flat is around 1,000 sq. ft. but these units might be hard to find vacant.

Commuting to and from Al Gharb is pretty convenient since the main road network is in proximity. The area gives direct access to King Faisal Street S112 that connects to Al Wahda Street E11. Those who live here can easily get to Al Wahda Street within 5 minutes and connect to other key areas of Sharjah.
Also, finding parking spaces in Al Gharb is hassle-free for residents since the apartment blocks feature dedicated parking areas. The community is pretty busy yet visitors can find a free spot on the street for limited hours. Furthermore, one can find outdoor parking lots in Rolla Area but these are quite filled up since Rolla Square is a bustling centre of the community.
Public Transportation in Al Gharb
As for public transport links near Al Gharb, residents can board in a bus from several stops within the community. E304, E306 and E311 shuttle from Al Jubail Bus Station 1, which is a 5-minute drive away from Al Gharb. Besides, one can get on a bus or hail a taxi from Rolla Square Bus Station.

Supermarkets in Al Gharb
Out of the various shops and supermarkets in Al Gharb, Souq Al Rolla near Rolla Square is the most convenient. Also known as Rolla Market, it is home to grocery stores, traditional spice vendors, toy shops and electronics. Besides that, residents can consider shopping from Carrefour in Al Musalla for larger grocery hauls. Other supermarkets within the area include Gharb Al Madina Supermarket, Rado and Grand Hypermarket in Grand Mall Musalla.
Churches, Temples and Mosques in Al Gharb
Al Gharb is an ideal residential address for many reasons. Those looking to visit churches near Al Gharb can conveniently head to the neighbouring Al Yarmook community and find Dubai Orthodox Church, St. Martin’s Anglican Church, St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church at a 6 to 7-minute drive away.
While there are no Hindu temples in Sharjah, Al Gharb residents can access Shiva Temple in Dubai. It is located opposite the Dubai Museum, around 30 minutes away from the community.
As for the Muslim community, there are many mosques in Al Gharb. Al Eman Mosque, Othman Ibn Affan Mosque, Masjid Harmain and Burhani Masjid are just a few to mention.
