COVID-19 Protocols

To minimise the spread of coronavirus, the government of UAE decided to reopen schools in August for the academic year 2021 – 2022 with safety guidelines. Similarly, keeping in mind the health and safety of students and staff members, the Ministry of Education has designed strict SOPs for schools to follow while they are open.

  • All students and teachers must get their body temperature checked in the morning before entering the school premises.

  • Provision for students in pre-KG/FS1, KG1/FS2 and KG2/Y1 will require “stable” groups of 10 or fewer children.
  • Lockers are permitted as long as physical distancing measures are not compromised and in such a way that each locker is designated to a specific student (alternated and not shared).
  • Certain play sections/areas should be closed (i.e. dress up sections, indoor soft play areas, reading corners with soft furniture). Open spaces should include furniture and equipment that is easy to clean.
  • Students below 6 years (below Grade 1) are not required to wear masks
  •  Students of Grade 1 and above, teachers and school staff members are required to bring a minimum of two (2) masks to school each day.
  • Bus capacity must not exceed 50%; limit physical distances by placing stickers on seats.
  • Seating arrangements will be clearly marked out in canteen areas; no students will be permitted to sit directly adjacent or next to one another. A physical distance of 2 meters should be kept in canteen areas.
  • Schools can operate a pre-selected and pre-packed lunch service, with no live cooking taking place at school.
  • School events, field trips, extracurricular activities, after-school clubs and activities, sports events, holiday camps and celebrations are suspended until further notice.
  • Extra-curricular activities are encouraged to be offered digitally

Here, learning outcomes are evaluated based on multiple parameters such as verbal, class assignment, class activities, written assignments and co-scholastic subjects

The language of instruction is primarily English while additional languages like Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and French are offered to students. Assessments are both formative and summative and are conducted periodically and at the end of the term.

Mode of Communication between Teachers and Parents

Muwaileh Indian Sharjah Ambassador School firmly believes in the importance of the support of parents. In previous years, the school has thrived on feedback from parents as it led to better performance. To formalise the association with parents and give them due credit, the school founded Parents of Ambassador Learning System (PALS).

Parents and the members of the school attend a pre-scheduled meeting where they discuss ways to achieve educational excellence and help create a conducive learning environment for children.

Acting as a bridge between the parent community and the school management, PALS is actively engaged in improving the school administration, infrastructure, academics and the new initiatives taken by the school

The main areas of focus include:

  • Collaborating with school and parents to organise school events
  • Raise funds for the school to improve infrastructure, provide training for teachers and extend academic support to students.
  • Preparing a database of volunteer parents who want to help with school events and PTA meetings.
  • Act as a moderator between the parent community and the school management when it comes to a difference in opinion or issues raised by the former party.

Apart from this, you can access various information on the portal including school events, exam schedule and results.

Similarly, you can book an appointment for a meeting with the class teacher, view the calendar, performance report and attendance reports of your child and can access accounts to check your payment history or pending payments, if any.

However, if you are more interested in conventional methods of communication, you can use the Sharjah Ambassador School contact details and the social media links provided below.
