• Social distancing is to be ensured at all times – students must maintain a 2m distance.
• School buses will operate at reduced capacity (A school bus can only accommodate a maximum of 30 students).
• The school premises will be sterilised periodically.
• School catering service will be managed according to specific guidelines issued by the MOE. Parents are encouraged to provide homemade meals; however**, sharing food isn’t allowed.**
• Children with special health conditions will be monitored closely by the ministry.
• School events, field trips, extracurricular activities, after-school clubs and activities, sports events, holiday camps and celebrations are suspended until further notice.
• Physical education will continue; however, access to swimming pools is not allowed. 
• The maintenance and services crew are not allowed to enter educational institutions during working hours.

Indian Excellent Private School Al Azra is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The curriculum is designed to keep pace with the latest educational trends along with a wide variety of hands-on application avenues to make it both challenging and rewarding.

Little ones in kindergarten and junior school are taught via child-initiated and teacher-led activities. Students are exposed to the basics of writing, reading and numerical skills, and different subjects at the introductory level. Arabic is a compulsory subject as per the MOE guidelines. The Ministry of Education (MOE) has asked schools to offer distance learning provisions in addition to in-class learning, at least until the end of the academic year. Distance learning formats might differ from school to school and term to term but students opting for this model will be kept updated on the curriculum followed.

The Indian Excellent Private School’s academic calendar is divided into two terms.

• The first term runs from April to October.
• The second term runs from November through March.

Transfer from UAE based School

• From Sharjah: Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous School
• From other Emirates: Transfer Certificate (TC) attested by the respective Education zone office.

Transfer from outside UAE

TC from schools based in India should be:

• Countersigned by the Educational Authorities in India (AEO / DEO or CBSE Regional Office)
• The Consulate General of India / the Indian Embassy in the UAE 
• Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE

Please note that students have to sit for an entrance exam and interview after providing mandatory documents. Other terms and conditions for securing IES School Sharjah admissions are:

• The fee for the academic year can be paid term-wise (two terms) and month-wise (10 months).
• Registration/Admission fee, payments for educational materials and uniforms are not refundable.
• Admission is open for limited seats. Registration is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Registration is complete only after the printout of the completed online form and documents specified are submitted.
• After the final submission of the online form, you will receive an email confirming the same.

Prior to enrollment, parents must ensure that their child meets the following age requirements.
