Fifth Dimension Elementary School was established in Nad Al Sheba 4 in September 2021. It offers a futuristic educational environment to students from different backgrounds. Currently, the school enrols children from Pre-KG to Grade 5, following the US national curriculum. ELEMENTARY STAGE CURRICULUM

In the elementary stage, Fifth Dimension Elementary School Nad Al Sheba 4 uses more formal teaching techniques to build on the foundational skills developed in kindergarten. Teachers encourage students to be independent learners with skills, knowledge and attitude. Consequently, elementary stage students can work independently as well as in groups.

Assessment

The school meets the National Agenda Parameter Testing requirements in the UAE through assessment and data collection. Students sit Cognitive Abilities Test Fourth Edition (CAT4) tests, Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) tests, end of units assessment and diagnostic tests for assessing students’ progress.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a governmental body designed to regulate and assess the educational sector in Dubai. One of its key responsibilities is to evaluate the performance of schools in Dubai based on some performance standards. The judgement is then published as a report delineating the strengths and weaknesses of the school. KHDA has not inspected Fifth Dimension Elementary School yet.

The school usually provides information on the academic calendar to parents upon successful registration of their children. However, as a US School in Dubai, the school year starts in August and ends in July. The KHDA’s approved academic calendar has the following important dates.

• The first term starts in the last week of August and ends in the second week of December. Students then go on a winter break that ends in the last week of December.
• After the winter break, the second term starts in the first week of January and ends in the fourth week of March. This is followed by a two-week spring break that ends in the first week of April.
• Classes resume again with the start of the third term in the second week of April. The school year ends in the first week of July.

Please note that Fifth Dimension Elementary School Nad Al Sheba 4 remains closed on some gazetted holidays as well as national and religious holidays. • Students applying from a UK curricular school can apply for admission by the end of January.
• Students applying from outside have to apply for admission by the end of May.

The school charges AED 525 (inclusive of VAT) as an application fee and again AED 525 (inclusive of VAT) as an assessment fee. Both fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. If admission is granted, parents will have to pay 10% of the annual tuition fee as a registration deposit within 10 days of the offer. The registration deposit is adjusted in the tuition fee for the first term.

The school offers safe transportation services to students. The school has a fleet of well-maintained buses with top-notch security and safety features.
