Campus of Delhi Private School Sharjah

DPS Sharjah is built on a 12-acre land in Sharjah Industrial Area 16. The campus houses three buildings; with each building dedicated for primary, secondary and senior sections.

The ‘centrepiece’ of the campus is a wide, green field. Students utilise it for a variety of sports activities including cricket matches, football matches and athletics. The campus also has multiple sports facilities for the benefit of students.

To ensure the safety and security of their students, DPS Sharjah has CCTV monitoring all over campus. There are 28 cameras in the open areas of the campus that are monitored by control room personnel. The Principal, Head Master and the Admin Manager all have access to the live feed. Security guards are stationed at both senior and primary gates at all times.

School Details

Covid-19 Protocols

The government of UAE decided to reopen the schools for on-site learning for the academic year 2021-2022. It has issues a set of safety guidelines to help schools to offer a safe learning environment for students and staff. The following SOPs are implemented by schools in the emirate, including Delhi Private School Sharjah:

  • All students above 12 years old and staff members, including teachers, have to submit negative COVID-19 PCR test results before returning to schools. The test must be performed 72 hours before physically appearing at school.
  • Employees need to get two doses of COVID-19 vaccines before physically entering schools. Those exempted from vaccination have to provide a relevant medical certificate issued by the health department and a negative COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours before appearing for school. The test results must be submitted every week.
  • The security team must check the temperature of students, staff and third-party contractors each morning. Those with temperatures above 37.5 degrees centigrade are not allowed to enter schools.
  • A safe distance of 1.5 metres must be maintained within classrooms and on campus. Schools can use physical markings to maintain the distance.
  • A stable group of 10 or fewer students is recommended for students from Pre-KG to KG2.
  • Lockers are permitted as long as each child has a designated locker and social distancing protocols are not compromised.
  • Some school facilities, such as dress up sections, indoor and outdoor play areas, swimming pools and reading corners, etc. will remain closed until further notice.
  • Students above six years old and staff members have to wear a face mask at all times. They are advised to bring two facemasks daily. Students below six years old are exempted from wearing a mask.
  • Bus capacity is reduced to 50% to ensure social distancing on buses.
  • Seating arrangements will be clearly marked out in canteen areas; no students will be permitted to sit directly adjacent or next to one another. A physical distance of 2 meters should be kept in canteen areas.
  • Schools can operate a pre-selected and pre-packed lunch service, with no live cooking taking place at school. 
  • School events, field trips, extracurricular activities, after-school clubs and activities, sports events, holiday camps and celebrations are suspended until further notice.
  • Extra-curricular activities are encouraged to be offered digitally. 
  • Physical education will continue; however, access to swimming pools is not allowed.

Distance Learning

Delhi Private School Sharjah offers a distance-learning educational programme to its students. Despite re-opening, parents may opt for the distance-learning education for their children. According to SPEA, the academic year starts in the second week of April and ends in the last week of March. There are three terms in an year. The summer break is from first week of July to last week of August. The winter break starts in the third week of December and ends in the last week of December.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply to DPS Sharjah?

Delhi Private School follows an inclusive admission policy. Parents of all backgrounds and ethnicity are encouraged to apply. The school asks parents to visit the school before applying. However, the current scenarios and COVID-19 protocols do not allow for on-site school tours. DPS Sharjah offers virtual tour on its website to help parents in making an informed decision.

The Delhi Private School Sharjah admissions procedure is as follows:

  1. Create a login ID on the school website for the DPS Sharjah online registration. The email address used will be the point of contact for the school to update on the admission process. 
  2. Complete the online form and submit it. A confirmation SMS/email will be sent to the parents. Parents will need a hard-copy of the form handy for the registration process. 
  3. The school will send a second SMS/email to with the time to submit the admission form in the school and pay the non-refundable registration fee of AED 420. Payment is accepted in cash only. The school will then send an email with the Zoom link and password. Please note that the interactive session date will not change under any circumstance. Dates will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and campus will be allocated subject to area of residence and availability of seats.
  4. Documents for the registration process: 
    1. Hard-copy of the submitted online form
    2. Photocopy of birth certificate
    3. Passport copy with valid residence visa or application for a visa
    4. Copy of Emirates ID or copy of the application for Emirates ID
  5. On payment of registration fee and successful submission of the required documents, you will be notified of your confirmed registration via SMS and email.

For admission to Kindergarten-I:

  • Parents need to book an interactive session for the child. An SMS/ email will be sent on successful registration through which a convenient date and time can be selected for the interactive session. The appointment is allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. 
  • The interactive session can be booked online after completing the online questionnaire. Selected dates for the same cannot be changed under any circumstances.

For admission to Kindergarten-II to Grade XII:

  • Prospective students have to take a written entrance exam. This will take place on a specified date. 
  • The school will send across an SMS and email informing parents of the date and time of the entrance exam.

The school boasts state-of-the-art sports facilities for the benefit of the students.
