Finding the right parking spot in Dubai can sometimes be challenging, especially during peak hours. The Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) in Dubai has developed easy to use parking systems which you can use on a pay-as-you-go basis or through long-term seasonal parking cards. Read on to find out about the latest parking charges in Dubai for both pay-as-you-go and RTA seasonal parking cards. For those of you who own vehicles or are considering applying for a Dubai driving license, knowing these parking charges is important.
Parking Areas and Zones in Dubai

RTA, which regulates the parking system in most areas of the city, had previously divided parking spaces into A, B, C, D, E, and F zones. However, the revised Dubai parking zones list indicates that the E zone primarily refers to the Deira Fishmarket while the F zone pertains to the Tecom area. The new system further divides these zones into three categories – commercial, non-commercial and special areas.
Each of these areas has separate Dubai parking charges. There are no additional parking charges in Dubai on Friday ad other public holidays in all zones. Let’s take a brief look at each of these categories for charged parking in Dubai.

The Deira zone includes Abu Hail, Hor Al Anz, Al Baraha, Al Muteena, Al Khabaisi, Al Muraqabat, Rigga Al Buteen, Port Saeed, Al Rigga, Naif, Ayal Nasir, Deira Fish Market, Al Ras and Al Buteen.

Non-Commercial: Zone C
Under the new parking code, Zone C covers roadside parking in primarily residential areas. Signboards have already been put up to help drivers identify Zone C. RTA prepaid parking cards Dubai can also be used to pay for parking in the areas that fall in Zone C.

Apart from these parking zones, certain areas have their own specialised parking rules. Parking in JLT is operated as a joint venture between RTA and DMCC and costs vary between AED 4 and AED 10 per hour.
RTA has also the Prime Parking concept for JLT. These cost AED 10 per hour and are limited to only three hours at a stretch. Currently, seasonal RTA parking cards are not applicable in JLT. Parking has to be paid through smart payment methods such as mParking or the RTA Dubai mobile app.
Most of the parking in JLT is managed by Concordia, a joint venture between Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority (DMCC), the master developer of JLT and EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS).

Here are the different methods you can use to pay for RTA parking card fees 2019 and pay-as-you-go parking.

The RTA app is another simple and easy way to pay for parking. The app comes with several other benefits, which include finding the right parking location and specifying points of interest including service centres, bus stations, metro stations, RTA parking card monthly charges and taxi booking services. There are also other useful RTA apps that motorists can use.
NFC on SmartPhones

RTA has placed numerous POS access points. All you need to do is tap your smartphone against any of the POS access points to pay for the parking.

Payment Through SMS
Parking your car in Dubai just got easier with the introduction of mParking by RTA. Through the mParking service, you will be required to send an SMS through a specific format to pay for your parking. The SMS format for Emirati residents is:

Hi Rafi, Thank you for reaching out to MyBayut.
If you are a tenant in DAFZA, then according to the regulations a tenant is entitled to one parking lot for every 50 square metres of rented office space. It is likely that your parking space might be allocated in the basement of the office building. Here are some of the requirements for applying for a parking space in DAFZA:
1. Submit an online request in Tas’heel (New car park lease)
2. Provide online request reference number along with the parking lease agreement signed by
the authorized signatory to the Customer Service Center in DAFZA HO building.
3. The parking lease agreement can be downloaded from Tas’heel (DAFZA Forms).
4. The annual parking fee is AED 900 to be invoiced to the tenant upon completion of the above
requirements.
5. Processing time: 1 day
I hope this helps, please feel free to reach out for more questions.
