THINGS TO DO FOR EID AL FITR IN ABU DHABI
Eid Al Fitr is an Islamic holiday that marks the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. It also celebrates the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. The month of Ramadan lasts either 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the moon.

This year, the Eid Al Fitr fireworks in Abu Dhabi will take place on the Yas Bay waterfront. Since public gatherings are still discouraged, you will not be able to view the fireworks on site. Instead, those living in villas and apartments on Yas Island, close to the bay area can see the fireworks from their homes.
For everyone else, the display of Eid fireworks in Abu Dhabi will be live streamed on Yas Island’s official Instagram page. The firework display will take place on all three days of Eid.

WHEN IS EID AL FITR IN ABU DHABI 2021?
As per the official announcement by the government, the 2021 Eid holidays in UAE will begin from Tuesday, 11 May 2021 and continue till 15 May 2021. In case Ramadan lasts 30 days, based on the sighting of the Shawwal moon, the Eid Al Fitr in the UAE will start on 12 May 2021 and the holidays will be extended till 15 May 2021. Either way, all UAE residents will enjoy a long weekend to celebrate eid in Abu Dhabi this year. The Eid break is the first major public holiday in the UAE after the New Year.
WHAT TIME IS EID PRAYER IN ABU DHABI?
Eid Al Fitr The timings for Eid prayers in Abu Dhabi have not been announced yet, but keep a lookout on MyBayut for timely updates on the Eid prayer timings across the country.
While mosques will be open for Eid congregations, there will be limited capacity based on the social distancing protocol. People who do not want to attend the congregational prayers can offer their Eid prayers at home.
