Takeem Partners with Dubizzle Group to Drive UAE Rental Innovation
Strengthening the wider UAE rental ecosystem, Dubizzle Group has announced a strategic partnership and investment in Takeem, a UAE rental platform built on rental guarantees. Bayut and dubizzle will become the exclusive property portals for Takeem’s Rental Guarantee solution across the UAE, giving landlords direct access to a product built to protect their rental income. News of the Dubizzle Group Takeem investment comes as the company continues to expand its footprint across the region’s property market.
Takeem’s Rental Guarantee Solution
Takeem was founded in 2023 by Rakesh Mavath and Pooja Vithlani. The Takeem UAE rental platform protects landlords against tenant payment defaults, a risk with no dedicated cover elsewhere in the GCC. As a property management platform, Takeem also offers emergency maintenance cover for urgent property repairs and enables monthly digital direct-debit rent payments, adding a layer of digital tenancy management to a process that has traditionally relied on manual follow-up and paperwork.
The platform has onboarded over 100,000 units so far, and its models are based on rental data collected through the platform. Client onboarding grew by 900% over the past two months, according to the announcement, a sign that landlords and agents were already looking for exactly this kind of rental operations automation.
How The Partnership Came Together
Dubizzle Group made the investment through Dubizzle Group Ventures, which invests in early-stage tech startups connected to its marketplaces across the GCC. The investment ties into a broader strategy: Takeem gives landlords and agents a credible way to take default risk off the table, while Tern, another recent investment by Dubizzle Group Ventures, gives tenants a payment solution. Together, they support the rental process from search and discovery to payments, protection and trust.
Rakesh Mavath, Co-founder of Takeem, said that partnering with Dubizzle Group enables the company to bring Rental Guarantee to a wider audience through Bayut and dubizzle. He added that the goal is to safeguard the parties’ capital while building a more trusted property ecosystem in the UAE.
What This Means for the Real Estate Market
Landlords using Bayut and dubizzle now have direct access to a guaranteed product built specifically to reduce the risk of missed rent payments. Tenants, agents and property managers also stand to benefit from a more structured and predictable rental process, since Takeem’s coverage extends to emergency maintenance and payment protection.
A Partnership Built for the UAE Rental Ecosystem
Dubizzle Group invests in Takeem UAE rental platform as part of its ongoing push to expand its footprint in the UAE’s real estate sector. The Group is backing solutions that provide landlords and tenants with greater protection at different stages of the rental journey. The Dubizzle Group Takeem investment signals a longer-term commitment to building trust into every stage of renting in the UAE.
Commenting on the strategic partnership between Dubizzle Group and Takeem, Haider Ali Khan, CEO of Bayut and dubizzle, Head of Dubizzle Group MENA and Board Member of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said:
“Takeem is solving one of the most important gaps in the rental journey, and what stood out to us was not only the strength of the product, but the clarity of the founding team’s vision. Their ambition mirrors our own: to make property transactions more trusted, more transparent and more dependable for everyone involved. With Takeem, we are giving landlords and agents a credible way to take default risk off the table, while Tern gives tenants a much-needed payment solution. Together, these partnerships allow us to support the full rental ecosystem, from search and discovery to payments, protection and trust.”
