About Abu Dhabi Children’s Library
Sprawled across 5250 sq.m., the Abu Dhabi Children’s Library consists of three floors where kids can read a diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction books. Every floor has a different social space where kids can play and immerse into different activities. Amid all these whimsical and colourful spaces, your children can also sit at the different nooks and corners designed for reading. Kids of all ages can come to this open, friendly place.
Spaces in the Children’s Library in Abu Dhabi

It is a large auditorium where kids can read, sketch, paint or watch a movie.
The Dunes is a replica of sand dunes found in many arid landscapes in the UAE. Kids can walk over or in-between these dunes or read different books about deserts and Bedouin lifestyle of the UAE.
Kids can learn more about the environment and nature at this place. It consists of models of different animals and a lot more.
It is a hangout area where parents and their little ones can take part in interesting learning activities. It is a great place for an interactive storytelling session as well.
Sprawled over 300 sq.m, this area is dedicated to art workshops. Let your child channel their inner artist at this space!
Comprising of state-of-the-art equipment, this place is all about learning to code, recording a podcast or making use of a full-frame or APS-C camera.
A diorama of oasis is created in the library where your kids can enjoy a book or write their first story. The highlight of this space is the cosy tree houses for kids.
Here your little ones can read a book in private small spaces with their buddies.
The library has educational programs for kids up to the age of 14 years. These programmes range from robotics and storytelling sessions to painting and making stop motion movies. Painting and storytime programmes are for kids up to ten years old while other sessions are for kids aged ten years or above.
These programmes at the Abu Dhabi Children’s Library have different accommodation capacities. Some cater to five kids while others offer a slot to as many as 20 kids at once. Majority of them are conducted in both Arabic and English languages.
Doddlebot – a robotic program, Interactive Storytime, Painting and Stop Motion Art are free of cost while laser cutting sessions are for AED 100.
Children’s Library Abu Dhabi Timings
The library opens all days a week. It remains open from 09:00 am to 08:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, it operates from 12:00 am to 08:00 pm.
