Marina Village is a modern residential community offering a posh lifestyle. Its properties are popular among both families and singletons, you will find luxury villas and apartments in the area. Marina Village is connected to other parts of Abu Dhabi via Al Marsa Street, which is near Emirates Palace and the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Despite being located slightly away from central Abu Dhabi, residents of Marina Village can access malls, hospitals and schools with ease.

Marina Village is predominantly a villa only community where most villas are part of the Royal Marina Villas community. The area is suitable for families looking for a peaceful lifestyle. Singles or small couples will find that there are fewer apartments to rent compared to villas.

Properties in Marina Village have various amenities for its residents. People willing to rent an apartment in Marina Village can choose from 1 to 3-bedroom units. A 1-bedroom apartment is approximately 1,202 sq. ft. and a 3-bedroom unit covers an area of approximately 2,368 sq. ft. Most apartments are laced with white marble flooring while kitchens have patterned tile walls. A larger, 3-bedroom apartment has a big living room with double-glazed glass windows.

The community has more villas and fewer apartments. Villas range from 4-bedroom to 6-bedroom units. A 4-bedroom villa has a coverage area of 4,000 to 10,000 sq. ft. whereas, the coverage area of a 5-bedroom villa lies between 5,000 sq. ft. to 20,000 sq. ft.

Villas are based on 2-storeys and feature a maid’s room, driver room, barbeque area, huge majlis, a dining area, a large kitchen and a pantry. A private pool, big green garden and separate storage area are part of every house. There are covered car parking spaces for two to four cars. All villas in Marina Village are centrally air-conditioned and have facilities such as maintenance and electricity backup.

Finding a parking space in Marina Village is not a problem as the area is not densely populated. Also, residents get plenty of covered parking space inside the villas. Apartments also offer reserved parking for tenants.

Marina Village seems a little disconnected from major areas of the capital city, but it has a reliable transport network.

Several buses including Bus 5, 7, 9, 11 and 32 include Marina Mall on their route. Bus 63 has its final stop at Marina Mall which is less than 2 kilometres away from the area of Marina Village.

Residents can spot a number of supermarkets near Marina Village. The nearest supermarket is Carrefour inside Marina Mall. Other convenience stores are not more than 10 minutes away including Waitrose, Bateen Stars Super Market and Spinneys. Carrefour and Spinneys are popular international supermarket chains.

Similar to other areas of Abu Dhabi, there are a number of mosques in Marina Village such as Al Kaleem Mosque. Other nearby mosques are ADNOC Mosque, Al Bateen Mosque, Ahmed Mohammed Al Suwaidi Mosque and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed First Mosque. These are around 10 minutes away.

An array of churches lie roughly 10 kilometres away from Marina Village. One can find St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral, New Vision Tamil Church, Abu Dhabi Apostolic Tamil Church, The Evangelical Church, Abu Dhabi Pentecostal Church, Kings Church and Saint Anthony Cathedral for Coptic Orthodox. All these options are located in Al Mushrif, 20 minutes from Marina Village.

There are no temples in Abu Dhabi as for now, but there will be one by the end of 2021. Residents will have to travel to Dubai to visit a Hindu temple. Sikh Residents can visit the New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi in Mussafah, 30 minutes away.

To visit schools, residents can head down to the neighbouring area of Khalidiya Village, where you will find the American Community School of Abu Dhabi. It follows an American-based curriculum. for primary and nursery schooling, options like Kipina Kids Nursery is available under 10 minutes of drive from the area. It is a well-known preschool that follows the Finnish curriculum.

Some higher educational institutes are at a 15-minute drive from Marina Village including Syscoms College and Emirates Diplomatic Academy. One of the top universities in Abu Dhabi is Emirates College of Technology, which is just 18 minutes away from the area.

There are many hospitals in Marina Village and its nearby areas. Harley Street Medical Centre is established inside Marina Village. Highly skilled medical practitioners serve in multiple departments including ENT, urology, paediatrics, nephrology and dermatology. Kings College Hospital London is another tertiary care hospital located 10 minutes away from Marina Village. It also provides the highest level of healthcare services.

Marina Village is close to the Arabian Gulf, many residences offer breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf. The nearby residential areas are Al Khalidiyah, Al Hosn and Al Zaab. Marina Village is connected to other parts of Abu Dhabi through Al Marsa Street and Corniche Road.

One of the leading malls and oldest malls of Abu Dhabi is Marina Mall, which was inaugurated in 2011. Covering a massive area of 235,000 square meters, Marina Mall is the only mall in Marina Village. It features a 9-screen VOX Cinemas, a bowling alley, kids play area along with over 400 retail stores and service outlets. The mall spans over five floors including 4,000 parking spaces. The mall also has a Carrefour hypermarket**.**

Other nearby malls are Rotana Mall, Al Bateen Mall and Khalidiyah Mall. All these malls are less than 15 minutes away from Marina Village and have numerous retail stores plus other recreational options.

There are many options for people who enjoy eating out as there are plenty of restaurants in Marina Village. Many international food chains operate in Marina Mall which right next-door for those looking for fast food options.

Popular casual dining restaurants include Shakespeare and Co. which serves an international menu in a Victorian setting. Il Porto Italian Restaurant and Sushi Bar is a popular Italian fusion restaurant in Marina Village. Authentic Asian cuisine is served in Lal Qila Restaurant which basically is a well-known Pakistani eatery. It offers a buffet and à la carte menu. Next to it is Corner Al Hawamir which is famous for its seafood.

Living in Abu Dhabi means living close to beaches as the city is surrounded by Arabian Gulf. Marina Village is no exception as it is dotted just across the Arabian Gulf. As soon as one crosses Al Marsa Street, they will find themselves at the beach. The most popular public beach of Abu Dhabi, Corniche Beach is just 9 minutes away, Gate 2 and 3 are open for families to visit. Gate 1 is called Al Sahil Beach is for singles only. The beaches offer a number of sports activities including volleyball and football.

For spending leisure time, residents can head out to Marina Mall which has Bounce, a trampoline park. There are many different activities to try out in Bounce such as slam dunking, wall running and dodgeball warfare. It has over 100 interconnected trampolines, a 40-metre slide and tight ropes.

Marina Eye is another tourist attraction less than 5 minutes away. It is a large Ferris wheel, it has 42 capsules including VIP capsules. Price for a Marina Eye ride is AED 50 for adults and AED 30 for children.

Another landmark, Emirates Heritage Club and Heritage Village is 2 kilometres away. This reconstruction of the traditional Emirati Village provides an interesting glimpse into the emirate’s past and the Bedouin lifestyle.

Bainunah Park on King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street is less than 4 kilometres away. Khalidiyah Park is the most popular park of Abu Dhabi which is at a 10-minute drive from Marina Village. It has paved walkways and a 20-minute jogging circuit. The entrance fee is AED 1.

There is a health club on the premises namely The Royal Marina Health Club. Apart from it, Fitness First and Capital Fitness are 3 to 5 minutes away. 10 minutes away in Al Bateen, there are gyms such as Lifelike Wellness Gym and Sparta Gym.

Three ladies salons are dotted inside Marina Village; Marina Spa, Tips & Toes and Nail Lounge Salon. Sisters Beauty Lounge is in the neighbouring area of Corniche Road. White Candle Salon, Sugar Beauty Salon, and In Vogue Ladies Beauty Salon are 10 to 15 minutes away.

Dotted near Marina Mall, Heritage Village is where one can experience the traditional desert life. It is run by Emirates Heritage Club and offers free entrance to visitors. People can explore artefacts and enjoy a real flavour of Emirati traditions such as pottery making.

Marina Village is a peaceful community mostly preferred by families. The area has many villas available for rent and sale. However, sale prices and rents are higher than other areas of Abu Dhabi due to the luxurious amenities in and near the residences.
