Al Hosn, also known as Al Hisn, is a popular area in Abu Dhabi that lies on the northern side of the capital city. The district is located towards the coastal shore, on the western side of Al Danah and on the east of Khalidiya Village. It is home to Qasr Al Hosn, a historical landmark of the emirate.

Al Hosn mainly consists of residential apartments but also features some commercial properties. The network of roads within the area is its most prominent feature, while Corniche Street and Zayed The First Street run through the community, it has easy access to Al Salam Street which is also known as Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (E10).

Al Hosn is a waterfront community that features residential buildings. Here, residents can enjoy the perks of community living, with central parks, mosques, educational systems, retail stores and mosques all located within the premises.

For the Christian community, the nearest church is the Lifeharvest restoration Church in Al Tibbiya Community. Located alongside Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed street it is only 5-minutes away. The American Community School is a co-education school system that teaches American Curriculum. It was established in 1972, offering several educational programs to classes starting from Kindergarten to 12. It takes approximately 9-minutes to reach The British School Al Khubairat which is the top school in Abu Dhabi.

Higher education options include Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Khalifa University and Lincoln University of Business and Management. These universities are all available within a 15-minute radius if you prefer driving.

There are plenty of clinics in Al Hosn district. A few popular ones in the area include Amana Clinic, Corniche Gate Medical Center, City Clinic and Asmat Dental Medical Centre, while there are many others located all throughout the area.

Large multi-speciality hospitals in Al Hosn are New National Medical Center, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital, LLH Hospital, Burjeel Hospital and others. All of these aforementioned hospitals offer many services like physiotherapy, paediatrics, maternity services and dental services and cater to patients in emergencies.

Al Hosn community occupies a waterfront location. The area sits alongside Corniche street, which connects it with the gulf side, while Al Hisn Street and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street run through the community, connecting it with the neighbouring areas. Areas that share borders with Al Hosn are Al Danah, Al Khalidya and Al Manhal.

For detailed retail therapy, residents will find a bunch of malls near Al Hosn. The nearest shopping mall is Central Market, a modern shopping centre that houses many international brand outlets and dining outlets. There is also Al Souq Traditional Market, just 5-minutes away from Al Hosn. Other malls nearby include Khalidiyah Mall, United Square Mall, Fatouh Al Khair Mall and WTC Mall.

Al Hosn is a perfect family-oriented community, where residents will find all the perks of community living. However, the community only features apartments for rent. Those who are looking to invest or buy properties will not find any apartments for sale in Al Hosn.

Al Hosn is located towards the northern region of Abu Dhabi, bordering the corniche side. It takes approximately 8-minutes from Al Shahama – Abu Dhabi Road (E10) to reach Al Hosn. Al Hosn Abu Dhabi should not be confused with Dibba Al Hisn, in Sharjah.
