Grades Offered At the WellSpring School Ras Al Khaimah

The WellSpring School RAK offers classes from KG 1 to Grade 12. These classes are divided into three sections:

The school follows the American curriculum. The start of the academic journey at The WellSpring School or the first phase is the Early Childhood Program. This program is designed for language development and building numeric concepts and creative skills. The educational experience during this stage is balanced.

During the Early Year Childhood program, teachers focus on:

In the Elementary section, teachers encourage students to become innovative thinkers, courageous leaders and skilful communicators. The curriculum in Elementary classes is academically rich and challenging.

Students study structured phonics and their ability to read complex texts and write at length are enhanced. Particular emphasis is on English Language, Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science and Arabic. Art, Music and Physical Education classes that are conducted twice a week. Academic Calendar for The WellSpring School

The WellSpring School academic calendar is runs from August until June and is split into two semesters.

  • The first day of the school is on 29th August. The school closes for a 3-week winter vacation from 12th December to 30th December. Classes resume in the first week of January and students sit for final exam from 23rd January to 26th January. The first semester ends on 27th January.
  • The second semester commences from the first week of February. Children enjoy a 2-week spring break fro 27th March until 7th April. Classes resume from 10th April with senior and secondary final exams falling in second and third week of June. The second semester ends on 30th June.

How to apply to The WellSpring School?

The WellSpring School Ras Al Khaimah admission and school programs do not discriminate based on gender, religion, race or other cultural identities.

Filling out the application form available on the school’s website is the first step during The WellSpring School admission process. Parents should attach the mandatory documents listed below when submitting the form.

  • A signed and completed application form with the application fee
  • A completed health information form
  • A transcript or copy of school report cards from the previous school
  • The copy of the student’s passport
  • A copy of the student’s Emirates ID

If necessary, the school can schedule the assessment test of the core subjects, including English and Mathematics. Once the school receives the application form, it notifies the parents regarding the status of their application. Parents will receive notification of acceptance, denial or waiting.

Registration fee of AED 500, which is non-refundable and non-deductible has to be paid before the student enters the school. A confirmation payment of AED 2,000 must be made once the student satisfies the entrance requirements. The confirmation payment is deducted from the first term fee and will not be refunded unless parents notify the school’s accounts department regarding their intention of withdrawal by 1st August.

Tuition fee is determined annually. Applicants are notified regarding the tuition fee at the time of registration. The fee has to be paid through Skiply app or telegraphic transfer at the time of registration. Please note that the fee is not accepted in person and should be paid in full before a child starts attending the school. Transcripts, report cards and transfers are not issued to students who have outstanding balances.

Please note that the tuition fee does not include the cost of:

  • Lunch

Students from KG 1 to Grade 5 have to pay AED 200 charge for the use of technology.

The school offers a sibling discount as follows:

  • 15% discount on the tuition fee of the third child
  • 20% discount on the tuition fee of the fourth child
  • 25% discount on the tuition fee of fifth child onwards.

This discount only applies to tuition fees.

Students are supervised throughout their lunch and break time. Healthy lunch is provided to students by PH7 catering. For ordering meals, parents are suggested to contact the reception. The school canteen’s menu includes freshly baked sandwiches, pizza and croissants.

School Transportation at The WellSpring School

The school offers bus service for an additional fee. Students must follow safety rules and remain seated throughout their journey. They should always have their seatbelts on and listen to the bus driver. Only snacks and water are allowed on the bus during the ride, but all trash must be properly disposed of before the bus departs. Students who fail to abide by the school bus rules may lose their bus-riding privileges.

The WellSpring School occasionally organises field trips to complement classroom teaching. Permission slips are sent home before the trip is finalised. Elementary students should wear a green polo and blue pants/skirts on the day of the field trip and Secondary section students must wear a blue polo and blue skirt/pants. An extra fee has to be paid for field trips.

After-school care at The WellSpring School

The WellSpring RAK School has an after-school activities program for secondary students. This helps develop physical, social, and intellectual skills in students and improves their ability to work together as a team. After-school activities at the school include sports, Model United Nations and FRC Robotics.

Medical Care at The WellSpring School

Students with diarrhoea, spots, rashes, eye infections, vomiting, fever and head lice are sent back home.

The school contacts parents in the case of an emergency or severe illness or accident. If parents are unavailable, students are taken to an appropriate medical facility.

Students who have to leave school due to any illness must first visit The WellSpring School nurse. In such cases, students are given a pass from the nurse or divisional principal to leave the school premises before time.
