The academic calendar of The International School Of Choueifat – Ajman is divided into three terms.

Term 1 begins on 1st September. Students get winter holidays from 15th December to 2nd January. Classes resume from 3rd January, which is also the start of Term 2. Spring holidays last from 29th March to 9th April. 25th June is the last day of school for all students.

• For admission in Kindergarten, students must be four years old by September 1. KG applicants should be toilet trained. Young kids should also be able to understand and follow instructions.
• Applicants must pass a diagnostic test in basic subjects.
• As part of the admission process, students applying in KG to Grade 2 must sit for an interview through a video conferencing call.
• Those applying for Grade 3 admissions or above are asked to clear an online diagnostic test. After the test, the school will make a placement decision. If needed, the school invites students to attend extra classes during summer school.
• Details regarding interviews and appointments are discussed with parents once the online application form is submitted.
• The results of interviews and online tests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Social and emotional development and motivation are additional criteria for admission.

The school has a transportation service for students; buses shuttle through Ajman, Dubai and Sharjah. Transport charges have to be paid in three instalments.

The International School of Choueifat encourages students to participate in sports. The annual sports day is divided into four zones where students compete for Sports Day Winners’ title. Some of the activities include throwing, running, balancing and water sports.

The school has an ISC – Ajman Under 10 boys football team participating in the Inter-Choueifat school competition. Students can also take part in the Inter-Choueifat Gymnastics Competition.

The school nurse is responsible for handling students’ health-related issues during school hours. If any child needs medication, it should be given to the school nurse in the morning with a letter from parents or doctors. Parents are requested to mention the child’s name, class, time and dose of the medication. Students who use school transportation can hand over the medicine to bus assistants.

Parents are called to the school whenever the school deems necessary. Similarly, parents can also call the school and book an appointment if they need to discuss anything.

ICS Ajman sends three reports in an academic year at the end of each term. Parents can also meet the Academic Quality Controller and request a copy of their children’s performance report. Students can also stay back after-school hours if they need special attention.
