Academic Calendar for The Central School

The academic year at The Central School Al Nahda starts in April and ends in March. The main highlights of the Central School academic calendar are as follows:

  • The academic year starts in the second week of April till the summer holiday at the beginning of July. The summer break ends in the second last week of August, after which classes resume from the last week of August.
  • Students then go on a three-week winter break in the third week of December till the end of December.
  • Classes resume again in the first week of January till the mid of March.

How to Apply to The Central School?

Each year, The Central School Dubai has a few seats. Besides, the school gives preference to the applications of their students’ siblings. Parents need to fill in an online registration form to start the admission process.

Once the application is submitted, the school will send a confirmation email to the parents. After receiving the email, parents need to bring a printed version of the registration form with a photograph and a copy of the applicant’s passport.

The other documents necessary for securing admission at The Central School are:

  • Four passport size photographs of the child
  • Copy of online registration form sent to your registered email
  • Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Passport (front & back)
  • Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Residence Visa (front & back)

  • Attested Transfer Certificate Inside UAE: All grades, Outside UAE: Grade 2 onwards

The students coming from schools from the other Emirates of the UAE must get their transfer certificate attested from the Ministry of Education of the Emirate. For students coming from schools in India, they must get their certificate attested from the District Educational Officer of that state in India, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai and the Indian Consulate in Dubai.

The school conducts an entrance test for admission from KG1 to Grade 9. For admission in kindergarten, the entrance test consists of questions from English and mathematics.
