The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a regulatory body established by the government of Dubai. KHDA aims to improve the quality of education by private institutions in Dubai. To achieve this, they inspect private schools in Dubai and offer a judgement on its performance based on a six-point scale.

In the latest inspection of The Central School Dubai, KHDA rated the school as ‘Acceptable’. The historical ratings for the school are as follows:

The academic year at The Central School Al Nahda starts in April and ends in March. The main highlights of the Central School academic calendar are as follows:

• The academic year starts in the second week of April till the summer holiday at the beginning of July. The summer break ends in the second last week of August, after which classes resume from the last week of August.
• Students then go on a three-week winter break in the third week of December till the end of December.
• Classes resume again in the first week of January till the mid of March.

The school conducts an entrance test for admission from KG1 to Grade 9. For admission in kindergarten, the entrance test consists of questions from English and mathematics.
