Years Offered at Sharjah Public School

Sharjah Public School is an all-through school that has classes from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 12.

Sharjah Public School Curriculum

Sharjah Public School offers the British Curriculum and prepares students to take IGCSE, A.S. and A-Levels examinations. Evaluations and gradings for these exams are done by Cambridge University, Britain.

Subjects made mandatory by the Ministry of Education such as Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies are taught at the school. From Grade 1 to 9, students can take Social Studies in English or Arabic. However, after Grade 9 the subject is taught in English only. French is also offered to all students a third language.

Students get their High School Diploma on completion of Grade 12 which is attested by the Ministry of Education on the following  conditions:

Academic Calendar for Sharjah Public School

The academic year at Sharjah Public School is split into three semesters and take place as follows:

  • The first term starts in the last week of August and ends in the second week of December. Students go on a winter break that begins in the third week of December and ends in the last week of December.
  • The second term starts in the first week of January and ends in the fourth week of March. There are two options for spring breaks. The first option is from the last week of March to the second week of April and the second option is from the last week of March to the first week of April.
  • The third term starts right after the spring break and ends in the last week of June.
