Founded in September 2015, Ranches Primary School (RPS) Dubai is a private nursery and primary education centre. The primary education provided in RPS is based on the National Curriculum of England. Based on the National Curriculum of the UK, primary education in the school involves Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). The admission process at Ranches Primary School is quite straightforward. It encourages parents to visit the school, check out the facilities, assess the environment and talk to the school representatives for information. Once satisfied with the facilities, parents can start the admission process.

Once the admission office receives the completed application, they will inform parents about seat availability. After paying AED 500 as an entry test fee, Ranches Primary School will ask the child to appear for the test to evaluate English and Mathematics skills. At this stage, parents need to bring the following certain documents:

• A copy of the candidates’ residential visa
• A copy of the birth certificate (in English or Arabic)
• A copy of the candidate’s Emirates ID card
• A copy of the candidate’s previous report cards for the last two years (if applicable)
• A copy of the immunisation record
• Four passport-sized photographs of the candidate
• Original transfer certificate from the previous school (if applicable)
• A copy of the educational report, assessment, psychological report or occupational therapy report (if applicable)

New students have to pay AED 500 at the time of registering before appearing for the assessment test. This fee is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the test. In addition, selected candidates have to pay AED 500 as a non-refundable one-time-only registration fee.

The clinic is equipped to look after children who are unwell until they can be collected by their parent or guardian. The clinic operates during school hours. The clinic at RPS is also available when after-school activities are offered.

The clinic administers medicines for unwell children based on the doctor’s recommendations. They also refer pupils to follow-ups with medical practitioners or emergency services if needed.

Parents are given priority to ensure that their opinions and suggestions can be incorporated for a holistic and improved educational experience. For this purpose, the school encourages parents to participate in the parents’ association.
