Overview

Pakistan Higher Secondary School (PHSS) was established in 1976 on a piece of land donated by His Highness (Late) Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi to the Pakistani community. PHSS RAK is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad.

The school follows the Pakistani curriculum from Kindergarten until Grade 12 for children aged 4 to 18. PHSS is located in the community of Al Mamourah in Ras Al Khaimah.

COVID-19 Protocols

To minimise coronavirus spread, the UAE government decided to reopen schools with strict safety guidelines in place.

  • All students and teachers must get their body temperature checked in the morning before entering the school premises.
  • Social distancing is to be ensured at all times – students must maintain a 2m distance.
  • School buses will operate at reduced capacity (A school bus can only accommodate a maximum of 30 students).
  • The school premises will be sterilised periodically.
  • School catering service will be managed according to specific guidelines issued by the MOE. Parents are encouraged to provide homemade meals; however**, sharing food isn’t allowed.**
  • Children with special health conditions will be monitored closely by the ministry.
  • School events, field trips, extracurricular activities, after-school clubs and activities, sports events, holiday camps and celebrations are suspended until further notice.
  • Physical education will continue; however, access to swimming pools is not allowed. 
  • The maintenance and services crew are not allowed to enter educational institutions during working hours.
  • For now, the school fee remains unchanged for the next academic year. However, the school has the authority to offer discounts as they deem fit.

How to Apply to Pakistan Higher Secondary School?

Pakistan Higher Secondary School’s admission process starts with the online registration of your child. Once the registration is complete, please provide the following mandatory documents to the school:

  • Original or attested copy of the Transfer Certificate from the previous school
  • Two copies of the applicant’s passport copy and UAE resident visa when available
  • Two copies of the sponsor/guardian’s passport copy and UAE visa when available 
  • Two copies of the applicant’s Birth Certificate in either English or Arabic
  • Four recent passport size photographs of the applicant
  • Copy of the applicant’s last three years school report
  • Copy of the applicant’s Special Education referrals or psychologist reports 
  • Both parents’ passport copy with valid visa page along with a valid copy of Pakistani ID Card (CNIC)
