Jebel Ali Village Early Childhood Centre Curriculum

Both Jebel Ali Village Nursery Dubai branches and Jebel Ali Village Sharjah branch follow the British curriculum - Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS supports seven balanced and interconnected areas of learning to provide equal opportunities for your child to flourish. The areas of development are divided into two focus groups:

Prime Areas:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, social and Emotional Development

These prime areas are essential for children’s healthy development and future learning, allowing them to develop skills in the further four specific areas.

Specific Areas:

  • Literacy
  • Understanding the World
  • Mathematics
  • Expressive Arts and Design

The nursery offers a variety of age-appropriate activities to help your child develop in specific areas. As they grow, the activities will become more complex to enhance their learning. They can participate in storytime, songs, and rhymes to build their knowledge. Additionally, your child can develop fine motor skills through activities like painting, cutting, sticking, and constructing.

The preschool also offers extracurricular activities like role-play, sorting, puzzles, and playing musical instruments. Using large pieces of equipment can help little ones develop gross motor skills. To support balance and coordination, weekly music and movement sessions are held.
