Indian School RAK was established in 1979 with 45 kindergarteners. Now 2,000 students are enrolled from Lower KG to Grade 12. The school has a co-education setup and follows the CBSE curriculum.

His Highness Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah inaugurated the Indian School RAK. The facility is recognised by the Ministry of Education and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

The Science department of Indian School RAK has four well-equipped laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer Science. Students of class VII to XII perform experiments and undertake specialised project work under their teacher’s supervision. Demo classes are held for junior students.

ICT laboratories are an essential part of the Indian School, RAK. They are equipped with the latest and modern computers to help students become familiar with technology from an early age. Computer lab classes begin from Class I onwards.

Indian School Ras Al Khaimah follows the Indian curriculum and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. English is the medium of instruction at the school, but students are also taught Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, Bengali, French and Malayalam as second languages.

Arabic is compulsory from UKG to Class X (Grade 10) as instructed by the UAE Ministry of Education. Muslim Students study Islamic Studies, and non-Muslim students have to learn Moral Education.

Students of Class IX (Grade 9) have to prepare for the Gulf Sahodaya Examination at the end of the academic year. At the end of Class X (Grade 10), students appear for the All India Secondary School Examination (CBSE), New Delhi.

Indian School RAK offers Senior School Certificate Course in Science and Commerce streams. Optional subjects are Mathematics/ Biology/ ComputerScience/ Physical Education.

The school has designed an e-learning programme to ensure uninterrupted learning during the pandemic.

Registration for Indian School RAK admissions commences from 15th January. Admissions remain open from 1st of March to 30th of April. Admissions are strictly granted based on age placement guidelines. Students must clear the entrance test and get approval from the Ministry of Education for successful admission.

The tuition fee, e-learning fee and bus fee are to be paid by the 15th of each month. Please note that Indian School RAK collects the fee for ten months. Fees for July and August (summer vacations) are not included in this payment.

Indian School offers school bus transportation services to students. The school has a fleet of eighteen AC buses that operate throughout Ras Al Khaimah.

Please note that stops for Indian School RAK buses are fixed. Any request to change the bus stop is subject to the satisfaction of the institution head.

All students are encouraged to take part in the Annual Sports Day. PT training is an integral part of the students’ life at Indian School RAK. Students can play basketball, volleyball, throwball, shuttle, badminton and table tennis.
