English Language Private School Curriculum

English Language School Dubai Oud Metha campus has a holistic academic program based on the UK National Curriculum.

Foundation Stage students are taught the EYFS curriculum. Several multi-sensory and play-based approaches are well-integrated throughout the curriculum at this level. Primary areas of the EYFS program include:

English Language School Dubai’s EYFS section uses Jolly Phonics Software to enrich activity-based teaching in literacy.

In Year 3 to Year 6, the school follows the Pearson Edexcel Curriculum for English, Science and Mathematics. It is suitable for students aged 8 to 11. A well-rounded education is ensured during these years.

From Year 7 to Year 9, Pearson design Edexcel Lower Secondary curriculum is implemented for Mathematics, English and Science.

For Year 10 to Year 11 students, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE is implemented with an international exam at the end of Year 11, International Advanced Subsidiary in Year 12, and Advance level in Year 13.

Summative Assessments is a written test scheduled twice a year. Formative assessments happen during learning as it allows teachers and students to assess progress on the learning journey. This helps make immediate amendments to the teaching methods.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply to English Language Private School?

Parents interested in English Language Private School admissions can register their child by filling the application form. Currently, the school is not entertaining any admission request, However, look out for school's social media pages and official website to stay informed.

When admissions are opened, parents need to fill and submit the form along with health information and mandatory documents at the school’s reception. They should submit the application form with a registration fee of AED 500.

Once the form is submitted, the student’s name is placed on the registration list. The school then invites the student to the entrance exam. If the child successfully clears the entrance exam, the school team sends a letter to parents for further documentation and admission. The decision taken by the school is considered final.

The admission process is only completed once these documents are submitted at the school:

  • Two copies of the student’s valid residence visa
  • Two copies of the student’s valid passport
  • Two copies of the student’s Emirates ID
  • One copy of parents’ passports and valid residence visas
  • Original Emirates ID of the student
  • Original Emirates ID of the parents
  • Four coloured passport size photographs
  • Student Original Vaccination Card
  • Two copies of parents’ valid Emirates ID
  • Two copies of the student’s birth certificate (English or Arabic)
  • Four recent passport-sized photos of student
  • Two photocopies of original reports for the current and previous academic year
  • One copy of the student’s immunisation record
  • A letter of good conduct of the prior school (from 6 years onwards)

Medical Care at English Language Private School

English Language Private School Oud Metha has medical services to ensure that students get healthcare support during school time. The school also provides vaccination for students of Year 1 to Year 11 in collaboration with the DHA. One person from each department is trained for providing first-aid services in case of an emergency.

The school also follows a strict Infection Control policy. Parents must not send sick children to school if they have:

The school organises parent-teacher meetings to discuss the well-being and progress of the child in detail. Parents are invited to meet the class and subject teachers during the meetings scheduled a year, thrice.

Parents are updated about students’ progress through report cards. These are given to parents during parent-teacher meetings. If there are any serious concerns, class teachers and the head of sections can make phone calls to parents.
